this has been sitting in google docs under #yoloswag for like a week

thoughts thoughts thoughts about the future

after he graduates (ba in design, communications minor??) he’ll move from being an intern to working for ysl, and ends up leaving for a few years working on a startup in unova.

after several years and many tribulations, he and sapphire marry. she will join a research group focusing on pokemon ecology focusing on environment/climate relationships and very likely has also become champion. after they marry ruby moves back to hoenn and helps open a hoenn location for the company so they can stay with their families. in the same way wallace and steven shared the seat, the two both hold the title of hoenn champion.

their children are two years apart, the oldest a prince and the youngest a princess.

after their second child, ruby and sapphires relationship starts to get

ruby takes a job offer at ysl again, but he must be in kalos to take it. Obviously sapphire is opposed to the idea, not only because her research is centered in hoenn, but because it's her home. she wants to raise her kids in the region she grew up in, where they met, the island they saved together. while ruby doesn't disagree with her loyalty, the job is excellent and would mean great opportunities for the family. it also would mean constant travel, money to help their parents and children live comfortably, and he wants his children to see the world. but sapphire can't just abandon her research, nor does she have any interest in making a living outside of hoenn. they already have a good life, their kids are healthy and happy, but rubys ambition is selfish if in good intention.

after the almost twenty years they have known each other this is the breaking point in their relationship, but they agree to not follow through with a divorce. after long negotiations, sapphire agrees to let ruby bring their daughter with him to raise by himself in kalos, leaving sapphire with their son in hoenn. they are effectively separated.

ruby stays in hoenn and with may's help, helps build the startup into a successful enterprise, which is basically an athletic apparel brand for trainers and coordinators with headquarters in lilycove and another in unova. he and sapphire stay together and raise their children as a family.

ruby travels a lot for his work. he often brings along their oldest when he's old enough, and the family video calls each other on the nights when they’re away from each other. it’s really cute

clearly i have thought through option 1 the most but i think 2 is a very likely future as well. i'll figure it out later when more of the oras chapters come out or when i can finally commit to something

holiday update ??

parkers been hanging with krista and is finishing up his last contracting job of the year. their place is covered in sawdust and crumpled drafting paper and he swears he;ll clean up when hes done. they decorated the tree with toaster waffles and candy canes and a lot of lights, and the three legged dog keeps trying to eat the ornaments

rubys still in hoenn and is probably spending it with the fam again. hes been a sometimes contest guest judge (and gives may a ton of crap) and occasionally joins steven and sapph's research cause there's some noise about some new type of evolution or whatever. he got max a litleo and caroline a noibat, which he's been hiding in the birch's house. his gift to norman is subbing at the gym so his father can have some time to rest. he and caroline have been vacationing in lilycove for a few days.

remy is putting flowers at her grave. he's also been tasked with training new recruits, and wally has been frantically trying to replace all the training dummies remy has been breaking.

oliver filled the space beneath their enormous christmas tree with gifts for the kids and selma. being the loser he is he probably did the whole 12 days of christmas gifts for her, mostly consisting of sweets and probably a car in the mix somewhere

sheryl is in england singing for her supper. she really likes it up there, she missed the cold and is probably lodging snowballs at russo.
