oh my god sorry the thing about the doctor and martha is that the doctor is doing so so bad. like hes spiraling and he knows it and he knows he needs someone with him and this time its not to show someone the wonders of the universe, its literally just because if he doesnt get some company soon hes going to kill himself. and so he picks (seduces) martha because shes brave and smart and competent and HE leans on HER the ENTIRE TIME!! he constantly puts his life in her hands and leaves her to save the day because he trusts that she can because THATS WHY HE PICKED HER!!! he picked someone just like him to look after him and then he has the AUDACITY and the GALL to turn around like why are you acting like me martha. Martha. why are you working for unit (like i did) why are you a soldier (like i was) why are you going to blow up your planet for the greater good (LIKE I DID!!!!!!). he chose a medical student and then was surprised when she took up the doctor mantle. he is so stupid
