kouralilly and steviestars3 are at it again...

Kouralilly came down to my home in farm country so we could make a little something for all of you. To the common public, we are known for causing a great deal of ruckus and shenanigans (you should have seen us hula hooping at Target...or just ask Aubree at Red Robin), but to our dear family at hitRECord, we are simply full of RECnanigans, to which we create, participate, and RECord on a regular basis. 

So, when kouralilly came to my house this weekend, I got out my trusty camera (a Canon PowerShot G12) and we got to work (and by 'work' I mean got out the Jell-O shots and started making our Tournament of Champions video).

I always love it when she comes over because it's like we were never apart. The drive isn't too bad between us and it's always worth it in the end.

So keep an eye out on this blog because within minutes RECnanigans will be AFOOT.

Well, that was just great.

So, our first hitRECord on TV show, although a little disjointed here and there and hot as fucking hell, was FABULOUS. We worked on four of the themes for the show: The Number One, Money, Patterns, and Space. There was live singing, Q&As, tweets, intros, and the cutest little boy (Daniel) EVAH. Footage to come soon so look out for it!

Even though we've been home now for a few weeks, the impact of our stay at the hitRECord House of Awesomeness at Campau Lake in Alto, Michigan still continues on. Every day it hits me a little bit more how awesome a time we had there and what amazing people we were with. Some of you we knew already, some of you we met for the first time, but either way, we are blown away by your talent, creativity, beauty, passion, and your overall awesomeness (see that I keep throwing that word "awesome" in there?). :) We have made some life-long friends and are so very happy to know each and every one of you. Our facebook chats and Google Hangouts are not enough to make up for how much we miss you daily, but it will have to do until the next time we meet. We love you more than words can say and we miss you all dearly. <3 <3 <3

Home again, home again.

I am happy to be home again, but I am even more happy that I went on this magical trip to the hitRECord Summer house of awesomeness. I am glad that I made myself broke going...I am glad that we were actually (haha, "Actually...") able to make this happen (thanks Mark!)...I am glad for those who came and even those who wish they could have...I am glad that we were able to make some cool shit...and I am glad I got to be these wonderful, beautiful people for five whole days doing what I love to do. I had an absolute blast and I love you and miss you all dearly. Xoxoxo <3, Stevie

Homeward Bound

Leaving the hitRECord Summer House of Awesomeness this morning was bittersweet. I'm a homebody and can't be away for long, so I'm happy to be going home, but sad to leave. (I think we went through three rounds of hugs before we left) Koura and I have spent the last 5 days meeting, hanging out with, talking to, collaborating with, and overall making some cool shit with some of the most amazing, supportive, loving, creative, and beautiful people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing and being able to call my friends. I love you all so dearly and I cannot wait for future collaborations and RECnanigans with you. <3 As for yesterday's RECnanigans, we made a pretty sweet film and it is going to be amazeballs when it's all put together (I especially can't wait to start working on the blooper reel - send me all your hilarious footage!). I also loved our fire wishes and our little tribute to Dan and even the part where our bonfire shenanigans got interrupted by a thunderstorm (and quite a gorgeous one at that). All of our RECords will be up on the site soon in the Summer House of Awesomeness collab and even though we've left, the week isn't over yet and there's more RECording to be done. :) I still plan on updating this blog with more house RECnanigans and other hitRECord / kouralilly & steviestars3 related tales in the not-so-distant future. Lazy Morning

It's a lazy, rainy morning here at casa de RECord. We're planning on making a tiny film today based on a collaborative story we wrote last night. It's going to be fabulous ;) I believe we also have a photo shoot planned and a few other RECords to make, plus we get an additional 3 arrivals today! :) Updates to come!

Like a BOSS.

I just want to toot our own horn for a second and say that we are amazeballs. Although we are missing a ton of gorgeous, talented people, the hitRECorders currently within this house are magnificent and are making some cool shit. We sang last night, drank our hearts out, and even made some ReRECs (check it out here: http://www.hitrecord.org/records/1328309 ) Today, we've paddle-boated, canoed, drank some more (it's happy hour 24/7 up in this biz), painted, hot-tubbed, hula hooped on film, drawn, filmed, and we're just getting started...

After spending the day lounging around, taking photos, and making accessories out of streamers, we set off on an adventure in search of food, booze, and overall Tom Foolery. We took over Wal-Mart and a few local grocers, came home, and whipped up some mad servings of lasagna (they're cooking as I type!!!! Aaahhhhh!!!!). Now, we're mashing up songs that in the non-hitRECord world, should never be put together, but here, are pure, magical, musical genius. A little more liquor and they'll look prettier too. Back to seeing who can sing the highest...

House full of Awesome

What a great first morning to the hitRECord House of Awesomeness in Michigan. Had a fabulous breakfast of pankcakes, eggs, and bacon (and coffee, glorious coffee). Thank you, ladies, for breakfast. I got your back for dinner. :) We're all just lying around (a very nocturnal house, as @lizsmalls pointed out just now), speaking of sloths and kittens and the TV show and all sorts of shenanigans. We're missing a TON of you so very much! :) Thinking of going to the store this afternoon for noms and of course, more booze. Going to go talk about baby platypuses now. :) Updates later! -Stevie
