Welcome to the @recoining-mill , a blog made by an anti-endo FOR other anti-endos to recoin and reclaim terms found on pluralpedia.

Whilst this blog mainly focuses on the “-genic terms” it recoins them to be ALTER FOCUSED rather than making them a system origin, terms are recoined to show an alters function and to be used in conjunction with or to explain an alters role in the system. It can also be used to describe why an alter has a certain clinical type.

We focus primarily on the “-genic” terms that are listed under “traumagenic” on pluralpedia, but we are also aware that some of the more jokey ones use terms that would fit how we recoin and reclaim.

Origin terms are recoined whenever we find one or are requested to do one, but we are planning on going through the alter roles in alphabetical order and reclaiming them.

According to the pluralpedia listing gor this term, Synchongenic is "an origin term that describes a subsystem that formed due to two or more headmates partially fusing with each other."

Synchonemergent

A recoined term based on synchongenic from pluralpedia, it is a term for a subsystem that formed from either a successful but difficult fusion, or a failed fusion BOTH as a result of some sort of retraumatisation.

Synchonemergent is NOT a role, this term works similarly to an adjective. It describes why an alter (or group of alters) exists

This term has been recoined by and for the anti-endo community to put words to specific alter functions and jobs that are not explained by simple roles that already exist in the community. The term listed above is inherently anti-endo and is something that should be used in a PRIVATE space or shared with a therapist to help them understand an alters function. Hello! We are Dissociapedia, the official sideblog for the (WIP) encyclopedia for traumagenic systems!

What we aim to do is make an encyclopedia website but only for traumagenic systems, which means anything made by and for endogenic systems, willogenic systems, and tulpagenic systems will never be added.

It will be similar to pluralpedia, but again it's gonna be all made by traumagenic systems. The roles, info, xenoroles.. Everything! :)

According to the pluralpedia listing for this term, corruption genic is “a system, sisasystem, or headmate whose origin came from the mind being corrupted in some form, as one’s mind starts to change over time. It can be described as turning from a state of peace to what it is now without one’s own control, similar to a computer virus. This can be something where one’s mind becomes more and more corrupted on its own, but it can also be caused by outside influences, such as trauma.”

Corruptionemergent

A recoined term based on corruptiongenic from pluralpedia is a term for an alter who split off to hold ideas stemming from bigoted ideological views perpetuated by a systems abusers. These views are things such as racism, homophobia, transphobia, colorism and ableism. Views that are “corrupt” in nature.

This term may ALSO be used by those who were programmed to hold bigoted ideology and / or violence based programs. Or anything that the system may view as having “corrupted” them.

This term is designed to describe why an alter holds specific values, it is NOT an excuse nor does this absolve any accountability your system must take for a corruptionemergent alter perpetuating these ideologies. Harmful ideologies are harmful no matter why someone holds those beliefs.

According to the pluralpedia listing for this term, druggenic is “a term for systems formed from taking drugs.”

Drugemergent

A recoined term based on druggenic from pluralpedia, is a term for an alter who split off to help the system handle drug addiction and / or substance abuse of both prescription and other drugs.

A drugemergent alter may hold the addiction and be someone who fronts to partake in the substances OR they may be a headmate who has extensive resources on how to stay safe with using. They may also be a combination of both

Drugemergent is NOT a role, this term works similarly to a detailed job description. It describes WHAT an alter does their job for, and why they split off to do that job.

Hey, I’m just slightly curious:

Why’d you choose the suffix -emergent? Like.. is there a reason you chose it over other possibilities like -formed (like ‘betaformed’ or ‘stressformed’) or -split (‘betasplit’ or ‘stress-split’)?

I googled what -genic meant and then googled words that had the same or similar meaning 😭 it’s honestly really simple. I also felt like split was too on the nose, so that side of it was personal preference

we don't want final fusion, we like fnaf and use ao3, we use pluralkit, and we're self diagnosed. also we do think OSDD exists and is valid. the DNI goes both ways bro.

Betagenic!

According to the pluralpedia listing for this term, this term is “a traumagenic system origin where a system was formed specifically by Type B trauma. Trauma Type B refers to the bad things that happen that overwhelm our emotional and relational capacity. The experiences of Type B traumas cause our emotional and relational circuitry to shut down. Our brain enters “survival mode” and is primarily interested in trying to help us stay alive.

Type B trauma includes the kinds of things that we usually think about as being traumatic. These include things like: abuse (verbal, emotional, physical or sexual), violence, or the experience of catastrophic natural disaster.”

Betaemergent

A recoined term based on betagenic from pluralpedia, it is a term for an alter who split off to help the system deal with situations that overwhelm their systems emotions. Whether it be a survival situation, a situation where another alter has been triggered or current abuse / danger situations.

An alter who identifies with Betaemergent may excel in grounding techniques, they may also have executive control over certain traumatic memories.

Betaemergent is NOT a role, this term works similarly to a detailed job description. It describes WHAT an alter does their job for, and why they split off to do that job.
