Day 1: What was the first Hakuouki musical you watched? Impressions? ↳ Okita Souji-hen

I stumbled across the Hakuouki Musicals completely by accident. I was scrolling through Shiranui’s tag and I came across a character shot of Yuusuke as Shiranui. At first I thought it was just a hot guy cosplaying as Shiranui, but then I actually read the caption and it said “Hakuouki Musical”. I told my friend Kimmy about it and she proceeded to google it, and up came the links for the Saito and Okita musicals on youtube. I watched it on a whim because, hot guys as my favorite hot samurai, why not?

From the second Okita’s started and Daisuke appeared in the crowd singing (and not to mention that laugh….), I knew I was in trouble. I could not get over how perfect the casting was, and how talented everyone was. Daisuke was literally Okita, and to this day I cannot believe just how Okita he is.

But even then, I had no idea just how badly I would be sucked into this dumb series of musicals based on an otome game.
