Am I getting too detailed with an insert? Maybe. XD But I just got my Carnival Kitties swag from SchmidtGoods and I thought they deserved a big top to hang out in. Bonus, the top flap will be great to tuck charm hooks under.

A recent project I really enjoyed, designing a kintsugi makeup look for an upcoming event.
I’ve loved the concept of kintsugi since I learned about it, and discovering other people’s makeup designs inspired me to give it a go. :D Really happy with how it came out, and excited to actually apply it!
*Makeup practice template found through Google.
Is anyone else happy when artists get creative with the backs of their pins too? Color or shape. For the fun shapes, I’ve even used some like filler pins on some inserts. But even when it’s just a fun color, I like how it spices up the back of the insert, even if it doesn’t get seen. It always gives me a little smile when I notice it while pinning. :D
To any crafters who need to hear this today—remember to mind your time and take periodic breaks with your projects instead of trying to muscle your way through. Don’t be like Auntie RI and give yourself tennis elbow because you were painting too long. DX
I love it when designers play around with interesting display shapes and other design elements, so this Angel Dust bag wasn’t something I was going to pass up! (I just love his heart webs so much.)
I do really like this bag but, if I could, there are two changes I’d make. The first is the opening for the display window; I’d love it if there were just a few more closures on it so that it could open up a little wider—the web shape was a big draw for me, but it does make it a little fiddly to get the insert in and out. The second is that the design is actually on the window instead of the insert; it ends up overlapping at least a little on most pins. I can make it work, but I wish I didn’t have to.
Carrying a tube to keep your art prints safe at a convention is a great idea that I got from another con-goer ages ago, and she had hers decorated nicely too. I only ended up doing it once or twice before, since I had to stop buying art for a while. But now that I’m back to it, I thought bringing back the tube was the way to go, but that it could use some improvements. So I gave it a little paint, and a nice fabric cover—plus a crossbody strap to make carrying it easier. I’m really happy with how it came out!
LittleSofts is a wonderful artist that has so many great products—I really admire that, even when it comes to plush, they try to design them so that they can perform a function too (other than being adorable). Their Snug-Along backpack line is great—cute, a great snuggle, and enough room inside to actually carry day-to-day things. London Fog the Raven was from the second line but there are so many great choices!

Batpacks—Wearable Nocturnal Friends! This is the ‘dreamy’ colorway from @andpierres ’ wonderful campaign, and it arrived in time for my birthday! My favorite part—despite the way that I took the pics—is that the sleepy bat is oriented upside down. XD
I hope folks will be able to get them through their shop once it reopens. :D
I am absolutely a Nightmare Before Christmas girlie, especially when it comes to Jack and Sally. I fell in love with this bag (and matching wallet) on sight, and I’m thrilled to be able to take it to a TNBC event soon!
(Background edited to better show the details.)
Recently I finished my first battle jacket, inspired by Dabi from My Hero Academia.
The silver 'stitches' were hand-embroidered, and the back patch hand-sewn on--I was so happy to find someone offering a blue phoenix when I went looking. The cuffs and the text were painted. To do the latter I created stencils based on the handwriting of Dabi's English voice actor, Jason Liebrecht. I'm really happy with how it all came out!
This Toothless has to be one of the cutest ita bags I’ve seen! You can leave the tail down for max-cuteness or, if that makes you nervous, you can swivel it up so it rests against your back. The insert is noticeably smaller than the display window at the top, but that’s pretty much the only downside and it’s easy to work around. :D
Recently I was back on my shoe-dying bullshit with me of Tulip’s ColorShot Instant Color spray, but this time it was with these strappy sandals. So I thought I’d share some process pics this time.
I always want to keep the hardware as clean as possible; for the last pair I did (some ballet flat mary janes) that meant a small buckle, for these it was a back zipper. For the last pair I was able to stuff them with paper towels to protect the insoles but that wasn’t an option this time, so they got the masking tape treatment too.
It wasn’t perfect but, in the end, it worked out pretty well! As a fun bonus that I didn’t expect, the pleather at the heels ended up looking more metallic than the straps.
All in all, a nice end result for a royalty-inspired cosplay I was putting together. ^~^
Happy May the Fourth to all those who celebrate!
I didn’t originally intend for this entire bag to be Mythmore pins, but I love how it came out! Just a few fillers and it should be complete. :D
Death Petal, formerly Celestial Fox, has made some of my favorite bags, and this new ita tote is no exception! It comes in four color ways and two sizes; I went with the large. The actual ita display is on the smaller side but the bag is super roomy, with a ton of pockets, and comes with a strap to make it a crossbody. It’s become my go-to “taking projects on the go” bag, would absolutely recommend! :D
I found out about gacha pouches recently, and they sounded so cute and handy! I don’t often buy small figures anymore, but they’re pretty perfect for the ones I do have. Flick and CJ seemed like a great first attempt, so I made a little background for them of their logo and got them set up. <33 I have a bit more tweaking I’d like to do, but I love them.
Nothing stresses me more than the possibility of being forced to put my cat to sleep because I couldn’t afford to pay for his emergency bladder blockage situation
I hate this
Would anyone be willing to help me get some funds to help cover the expenses for my cat Oreo?
