I'm literally the worst with links and stuff, but my user is redlikessoup
Story: Home Sweet Home
Hey yall, fanfic.net finally stopped acting up, ch 3 has officially made it to ff.net
I'm horrible with technology and also forget passwords, but ch 6 is out on fanfiction.net with ch 7 already in the works
I'm still trying to reset my ao3 password so it'll be a minute
Now on ao3 as well! For some reason it wouldn't let me reset my password on my laptop?

Merry Christmas!
I'm still learning how to use color digitally. It's so challenging compared to how I'm used to.
I am magically reappearing to tell you all that I am hoping to finish chapter 6 before the end of the year.
No context spoilers: "No," Brick laughed. "It's just," more laughter. "I was stabbed..."

Anybody know how I can get tumblr to show me the email my account is linked to? I got a new phone and I'm struggling to move my account over
Here they are 🌸✨
@cyareclones just did a dtiys on Instagram and while I wanted to participate this was the only image my brain could come up with
Reappearing with star wars fan art, don't ask when for my next scheduled appearance, I don't even know
Anyways @cyareclones let me draw their oc with mine, I wanted to draw them together cause they both have trauma around their montrals, fell in love with a member of the 501st, and look like they'd be mean to me
Urudyk is the taller one that belongs to Cy and the purple one is Orla who belongs to me, I had a lot of fun on this, the first personal artwork I've finished in a while so it felt good
This site is weird for demanding content but never using any of the multiple methods available to say thank you and actually show you want it.
People will stop making art and edits and funny videos and all that if y'all don't even give the slightest indication that you want to see it. Reblog shit for the love of god. It's the only valid primary engagement. Add tags or don't. Reblog it multiple times if you want! Bonus points if you DM/send an ask to a creator saying how much you love their shit. But that won't mean anything if you don't reblog it.
For fucks sake don't commission an artist and then try to pay them using a method that they didn't not list for options. I had some fucker commission me for something they needed in a week, it was a larger piece, but hey, they were gonna pay me well over my usual rate so I busted it out in a week. All week I told them my two methods of payments and then last minute they want to use a digital check? Which is super sketch and when I told them no, pick between the option I gave you they went private and deleted their account or something. So now I've just spent the week not making any art I enjoyed and I'm out $200 wtf
having a bit of an ego is essential to the artistic process
its mostly died down now but i am still really sick of the culture that tends to perpetuate around digital art where your art is never good enough, everyone else’s work is better than you, your art or your page or your name being some variant on ‘trash’, ‘garbage’, bad…
i don’t really think it helps anyone! to be so constantly self deprecating all the time, because the nature of art is that it’s never going to quite look like it does in your head because the human imagination is a fickle thing, and this constant ‘aaah its not Good’ instict is going to halt your progress, because you’re never going to get to that stage where it looks perfectly as how you imagine it.
accepting your art as it is and understanding that just because it’s not like your imagination doesn’t mean it’s bad, and appreciating the way it looks and that You Made That is absolutely vital. and i think being proud of yourself, being proud of the stuff you make and your improvement is hugely important because that powers you forward… i love thinking about, ‘oh, this will look so cool when i’m done’ and more often than not i finish and i’m like yeah, damn, this DOES look so cool! and trusting that what you make is good will help you explore more, branch out, etc.
thinking you’re kinda hot shit or you’re talented or you’re good at what you do is super super important
This goes for traditional art too. I think as a traditional artist that follows mostly digital artists it's easy to forget that traditional art is going to include more "mistakes" simply because of the medium and its easy to get caught up in the thought that it has to be perfect but honestly fuck that.
Sometimes the little flaws in an artwork are what makes it fun to look at, and usually the artist is the only one seeing them anyways. Once I started pushing myself past the "I might ruin this if I keep working on it" mindset my artwork got so much cooler because I let myself fuck up and be okay with that
I really like receiving asks it's like someone stopping me on the street passing me a microphone and asking me about my day in front of many cameras. Like i like answering that. Well I'll tell you just about anything frankly
