Pacing; he kept going back and forth, rubbing at his temples, and ebbing away the pain slowly but surely. The urges to turn were becoming more apparent. The familiar stretch and grind of his muscles and bones began to twitch and torture him.
And then there was a Medic standing in front of him. Blinking down at her, in a mix of shock, confusion, and curiosity, Lyosha’s head began to tilt slowly. Why was she out here? Why was she out in the rain? Why was she near him right now?
Primal instincts kicking in lightly, the Heavy let out a low growl at the tiny Medic. Lyosha turns away from her, stalking further away without saying or doing anything else. His feet sink into the muddy gravel but on he trudges, heading towards the far treeline. It’d be easier to get into the woods the closer he was to it.
She stared at him in silence, letting the seconds s t r e t c h long.
And then, without warning, without provocation - had she done something to enrage him? - his face dropped from a grimace into a glare, and he loped away towards the woods. Her own face shifted from curiosity to confusion - and was that a spasm of indignation? - as he turned away, wordless.
She took a few half-hearted steps to follow him before the reality of what she was doing sunk in. Following a stranger into the woods in the middle of nowhere, who was one step shy of openly hostile to her... yeah, you could’ve put a little more thought into that one, Chesterton.
Slowing to a stop, she followed him with her gaze only, features softening to gently bemused, as the rain dripped down a solitary lock of hair draped across her forehead.
