Glad to finally meet you. Have you let him into your heart yet?
'Ao, my child?' A familiar voice calls out, slightly hoarse from not using it in quite some time as they poke their head out from their quarters. 'Ao? Where are you?'
They do not even acknowledge the tall, familiar coloured being just out of their reach.
🎀-@/virtus-dei-terrae
Ao quickly turned around, bending down to Clem's height with a smile from ear to ear. It would've looked cute a couple weeks ago..now..not so much, it actually looks kind of odd, maybe creepy even.
"Teacher!..I'm so glad to see you again, how was it? Are you doing alright?" He quickly asks, concerned for Clem's health and emotional state. I mean, he'd probably go nuts if he locked himself up for 2 months.
Clem straightens up in masked shock, eyes widening as they step back, hand over their chest as they examine the fairly large being crouching down to them.
Suddenly, it hits them. The familiar shade of blue, the slightly faded ribbon round their neck, the chipped horn.
"Heavens...Ao....is that you?" They ask, tilting their head forwards to examine him closer "my goodness....you've grown."
He chuckles a bit shyly, scratching his beard in embarrassment "I am, and I have..heh, didn't think it would go this fast but- it had to happen some day" he explained, looking at Clem with kind eyes, his pupils dilated to seem less intimidating.
"I do hope this won't be much of a problem"
They reach out to cup Ao's face, tilting it from side to side, just checking that it is really still him, their devoted, slightly dumb ao. Yes. Deffinately him.
They hold their face fondly, well, as fond as clem can be, as they speak.
"I do not see why it would be an issue. You are still the same man, are you not? Your looks are irrelevant"
"I am..I very much am" he agreed quickly, his hand moving up to cover one of Clem's wrists, it could pretty much completely wrap around it. He was careful tho, as careful as he could be. He didn't want to cause any form of harm to Clem of course.
"I'm glad you do not mind...now, how was your retreat? Are you alright?" He asks again.
"Ah. Yes. Forgive me for being distracted by your....transformation" they hum, removing their hands from Aos face before brushing themselves down.
Must be presentable. Must be proper.
"It was... a necessary isolation. I have worked out my sins with the lord and I am once again-" they pause a moment, adjusting the red bow around their throat "-whole."
Ao stood back up fully, having to look down at Clem..yea no..he didn't like that. It felt wrong to have to look down at someone he looked up to metaphorically.
So he went back down, just kneeling so he would be at a better height. "That sounds good..I'm happy you are feeling better, my Teacher." He responded carefully. "Anything you need me to do, or get you? I'm more than happy to get to serve you again."
So sweet and pliant. Just as they remember. Good.
"I do not need anything as of this moment, my child...but I am curious to know what you have been up to whilst I have been gone"
They place their hands behind their back, pacing around them
"You have grown so much physically, I am curious to know if you have grown emotionally too"
He blinked and shut up for a moment, looking away with a bit of a huffy expression "well..uhm..I'm quite unsure if you would like my answer to that." He responded honestly. He knew the stuff he had done before the growth spurt were a bit..intimate.
...well not even just intimate this man had his eyes opened same as his rectum.
But either way, he knew it was something he probably shouldn't have done..or maybe he should have but it certainly wasn't something his teacher would be happy to hear.
They purse their lips, watching Aos body language carefully. Larger. More physically intimidating (to most). But still the same old Ao...but with a hint of shame.
They grip Aos jaw again, looking down their nose at him, a feirce seriousness in their eyes.
"Have you been committing sins, my child? I must ask that you are honest. Lying, is a sin, after all."
And with that, shame swallowed him whole as he stumbled to try and explain. Explain what happened, how and why, how many times that he didn't know. That it felt so good it couldn't have been a sin..right?
"I-a mister told me t-there were other ways to-to see heaven anda-and I swear I didn't know My teacher. I didn't know it was wrong. I've never done anything like that before- i-it felt so good..I saw all white and I was so convinced that was it but it wasn't.. and well I couldn't ask you what it was..you weren't there and I just figured I had to serve Someone but-..I'm sorry Teacher.. I'm so sorry-" he rambled and apologized without getting into the details. He knew it was wrong.. it had felt so electrifying..how could he have known it was a sin?
Their expression darkens, just for a moment as they bend down to Aos knelt height.
"You mean...Sins of the flesh?" They stare deep into Aos eyes, before humming darkly, straightening themselves up and releasing his not so little blue friends jaw. "I suppose there are worse sins, and forgiveness is a virtue."
They tilt their head up again, looking down their nose at him, hands clasped back behind their back "so, you know it was wrong? Have you repented?"
He seemed to shrink in on himself, looking down at the ground. "I- I didn't know it was wrong at the time..it felt so good I didn't understand it was a sin-..I I haven't yet..repented for my sins..i-i just got caught up in it and-..I'm sorry Teacher" his voice rised in pitch, getting on both knees instead.
They watch as he falls to his knees. Pathetic.
They tilt Aos bearded chin up with one finger, the other hand on their hip, tapping a finger in veiled irritation.
"Do not beg me for forgiveness, my child. Of course it felt good. Sin is ment to tempt you, to feel good. You understand is is bad, now you must find your own way to repent." They demand, their voice cutting like shards of glass through the quiet hall.
"..tell me how, tell me what I should do, how I should so it i-..I want to do it right.. please tell me teacher, I'll do anything" there was a desperation in his tone. He wanted to be good. To be pure..
Anything if it pleased his teacher. If it pleased god, it pleased his teacher.
Clem says nothing, they simply turn around back into their quarters, before re-appearing a minute later holding an item in each hand. In one, a flogger, knotted and frayed at the end from years of use. In the other, a knife.
"You have seen these before. You know the methods. You must choose what will outweigh your sins. How much will it take to repay your....lustful acts."
They simply hold them out before Ao...two tortures to outweigh his sins. How does one choose a form of pain to endure.
He looks at them in silence, his heart pounding in his chest, something inside him begging him to do it while the other begs him not to..He could use the knife..a couple scars wouldn't hurt..they last long and would show off his devotion more right? It would just..hurt less..Or well from his experience it does hurt a lot less.
So, the flogger then..right? It hurts the most, leaves bruises, the most traditional way to repent for ones sins.
He slowly reaches forth to grab the flogger..yea this should be right..this should please them.
He looked up, asking for any sign that he made the right decision, that he was allowed to continue.
'Ao, my child?' A familiar voice calls out, slightly hoarse from not using it in quite some time as they poke their head out from their quarters. 'Ao? Where are you?'
They do not even acknowledge the tall, familiar coloured being just out of their reach.

'Ao, my child?' A familiar voice calls out, slightly hoarse from not using it in quite some time as they poke their head out from their quarters. 'Ao? Where are you?'
They do not even acknowledge the tall, familiar coloured being just out of their reach.

Ao had been busy picking up things their teacher ordered him to get around..well where ever he was, he kind of got lost half way through. He looked up at the tall person suddenly addressing him.
"oh, good after noon, im simply running some errands, can I be of any service to you?" He asked carefully, tilting his head at the odd hair colour it was extremely vibrant and a bit distracting to him.
"hmm, not at the moment. What kind of errands are you running?" They ask. How polite, very strange for a demon.
"just sustenance and fabrics, we need to make a lot more ribbons lately- oh right- purple haired human, would you like to see a piece of heaven?" He clasped his hands Infront of his chest with a big smile, his white tusks proudly on display.
Bard smiles, teasing and sharp. They had already been over this thing with Luci. "I am not destined for heaven nor hell, another has already laid claim to my soul."
They lean closer to the smaller oni, "and I'm not human."
That just made him even more curious about them "what are you then? Does that mean that's your normal hair colour? Most humans dye theirs so I just assumed you were one but now that I look at you most humans don't have pointy ears, are you an elf then? Or something else? Also what do you mean with your soul has already been claimed? Is their another saint I havent heard of that showed you the way of god?" He rapid fire questioned.
He slowly walked circles around Bard while he asked them, something he had done with others before.
Bard looks at him, amused. This wasn't the strangest thing that someone had done with them. 'star knocking them down and holding a knife to their throat was a top one. "technically, I'm a half-elf—" though they weren't sure they were just a half elf any more— "this is my natural hair color, would you like to see if the carpet matches the drapes~" they tease, this demon seemed like one to fluster easily.
"I am the Champion of my god and a follower of another." They said simply.
He was too stupid to understand that so instead he fully focussed on the follower part. "You're a devoted one too?! That's just wonderful! Who is your teacher? Who do you follow? How do you follow them? What are their requirements? Oh this is so exciting!" He excitedly clapped in his hands, smiling brightly.
"also what do you mean a champion of a god? Are you a saint like my Teacher?"
"I have no teacher, I am one of the last follower of Tyr, God of Law and Justice. Be it by steel or word, I will bring Justice."
Ah, cultists... Not the first time they had dealt with them, won't be the last either. Hopefully they wouldn't have to slaughter his entire sect, that would be so tedious.
"The god I am the Champion of is quite private. I shall decline answering such questions about them."
He went silent for a moment before quickly springing back to life "ah sorry if that was invasive! My apologies." He quickly said before standing still Infront of them.
"either way- I believe I didn't even introduce myself, how rude of me! My name is Ao Andon" he put his hand out for them to shake with a small apologetic smile. "I hope we can get to know each other better! You seem incredibly interesting."
"you are forgiven." Bard takes their hand and slightly bows over it, "Greetings, I am called Bard, may the death find you kindly." They said, voice tilting and lyrical, almost like a song, yet not.
"I hope so as well. You seem... Interesting as well." Strangely innocent yet obviously a cult. But that wouldn't be the first time that such a thing has happened.
He quickly returns back to his cheery attitude from before now, glad he was forgiven for overstepping. Soon he continues his line of questioning, trying to remain in boundaries.
Eventually tho he remembers what he needed to ask. "Oh do you know how to get to the most nearby store...I have been pretty much wandering around without finding the one I need and I need to be back before sunset"
"It depends on which store you require. Perhaps I could guide you." They weren't sure where the store was either but they were... Really good at finding things. If they could find the body parts of a torn apart clown in a sewer, they could find anything.
"well I need bread, wine and white fabric. Preferably the kind that doesn't stick to wounds" he calmly explained, still wearing a toothy grin.
The red ribbon in his horn loosening a little as he quickly ties it back together tighter than before while watching the sun come closer and closer to the horizon.
Well, well, well, what's a demon like you doing so far from home?
