Coke Studio Season 12 Episode 3 Reactions

Coke Studio will release the Third Episode  of Season 12 featuring Billo by Abrar Ul Haq, Saiyaan from Shuja Haider and Rachel Viccaji and Roshe by Zeb Bangash. This episode of Season 12 Coke will air on October 25, 2019.

Abrar Ul Haq will appear this season in the whirlwind of rap and Bhangra, opening the door to the past by remaking the legendary song that began his musical career: Billo appeared in 1995 and conquered the country before the storm with strange lyrics about adoration of a young man for his billo. A girl who is famous for her beauty and whose house really wants to be visited by that young man. The young man expressed his intention to bring the marriage procession to his home and win it as a bride, condemning anyone and everything that hindered this persecution.

For Abrar Billo, that song changed everything. This brought him overnight fame, turning hobby music into a lifetime of vocation. Abrar wanted to make this visit in the past, to restore that memory with melody, rhythm, and instruments that now fill world music. Broadcast Coke Studios by Billo remains loyal to the nostalgia of the song and provides a space for listeners to experience the moment when Bhangra-Pop revived the Pakistani music channel.

Shuja Haider worked with Rachel Viccaji in Saiyaan, a Punjabi ballad that began in the majestic Lollywood of the 1960s and 1970s. The song is full of Punjabi metaphors and shows a blunt lover who improvises with a passionate request and asks them to come back. The sadness of the lyrics is juxtaposed with the almost pleasant arrangement of music and illustrates the tension between the two characters in the song. The time-consuming subject of love, wrapped in visual metaphors inspired by Punjabi folklore, is stacked on top of compositions that refer to music from the Golden Age of the Pakistani film industry. The singers export ode to artists in the past and create their voices throughout.

Zeb Bangash returns to Coke Studio with Kashmiri ode to loss: Roshe. The song caught the attention of the Web when it found a video version of Ali Sayfuddin on YouTube. For Zeb, it was a happy result of studying the music of Kashmir that was destroyed when he met a group of Kashmiri students in Delhi who asked them to bring a song in their native language. Nearly four years ago, the process of working with band member Zayn Ali on the song that introduced him to Coke Studio this season began.

For Zeb, this is an attempt to believe the fate of a song - that it must happen when the time comes and the world is ready for it. The song is about love and loss; His poems were written by Kashmiri poets, Mahjoor, who lived in the early 20th century. Mahjoore was very inspired by the poems of the last Empress Kashmiri Habba Khatoon - whose own poetry was used in the choir of this song. Roshe Show from Coke Studio provides an atmospheric space to reflect the poetic themes of nostalgia and separation. Zeb summed up the melancholy of the song and felt voiced when he used a new language for his repertoire, with the precision with which he was known.

"I decided to make music professionally when I saw how to connect with people, it's a pleasant feeling that you can move people, you can talk to them, they sing a song and someone is connected to it. And you don't even know about it, it's amazing to me, it has a relationship of its own that sings my voice, "said Zeba Bangash
