Alright so this is a little different.

So as many of you know I haven’t posted a comic in quite some time, which doesn’t feel good to me as I used to make many comics (just not on tumblr) and had a blast while doing them. In an attempt to force myself back into art and drawing, I’m doing something you may not see often.

Im going to do free commissions. No charge, no money, no need to be a follower.

I don’t know how many of them I’ll get done, and I don’t know how well the quality will be seeing as I haven’t drawn in a long while.

If you want one, listen closely. I will only make a drawing if you dm me exactly what you want it to look like and I need a reference if it’s an original character. First come first served.

Thanks for putting up with my mega hiatus and I hope this is a good way to get back to my drawing roots.

I’m sorry if not all of them get finished, i’m not promising I can get them all done. I will however try my hardest to satisfy as many people as I can. (Also the less complicated ones are more likely to get completed so if you really want one you may have the best luck not making it mega complicated)

Worked on this girl for 9 months. Now this new music video comes out and she’s immensely popular, arguably one of the most popular characters in the LoL universe.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m really glad she’s a huge hit, it’s super exciting to see so many people love the character design and the gameplay, and know that I contributed directly and significantly to the behind-the-scenes engineering that makes it all work. It’s validating.

But it’s also so fucking melancholy to know I did so much work and put in so much time for such a shitty company, run by shitty people, and the reward I got for it was unemployment. 

I threw a lot into this character. I cried at work. I started getting panic attacks, which I’ve never gotten before. I developed persistent heart palpitations from the daily overwhelming stress and had to go to the hospital (this is true, seriously.) I basically dropped all my friends outside of work. My manager (and his manager!) lied to me constantly to keep me working. They said I was doing a great job but to keep it up. Don’t worry, it’s going to turn out great, and it’ll all be worth it in the end – recognition, a raise, probably a promotion in short order. They promised me the world. When she was finally finished, I didn’t even get to go to the release party, they just walked me out. 

I remember a quote from my last day, it sticks out in my mind: “I know you realize this is really hard for me,” my manager said. Yes, in the end, when he awkwardly informed me I didn’t have my dream job anymore – or any job at all – and then stared back at my shell-shocked face, my thousand-yard stare, the only thing he felt was sorry for himself.

She launched with no major bugs and was considered a technical success. Doesn’t matter. Get the fuck out.

I don’t know how I feel. A weird sensation of pride and intense bitterness. I did a good job; at least, I think I did. Unfortunately, internal validation is the only kind I’m going to get.

Everyone reposting KDA should see this. Riot has successfully distracted everyone into forgetting their culture of sexism, exploitation, and toxicity mere months after it was all revealed.

Look, I get it. Akali is EXTREMELY my type. It’s obvious how much love and care was put into her development. But it makes me furious to see all the free advertising that Riot is getting from people who I thought would know better.  And now? One of the people who is arguably responsible for all that free advertising? Who’s work is undoubtedly making Riot hundreds of thousands of dollars a day? Who was overworked to the point of near breaking? They get nothing. WORSE than the scant bit of credit that most devs can get in a big company like Riot. They got let go.

Fuck Riot Games.

One thing that I thought really sucked a lot is that the production company who made the KDA video isn’t even credited. They credit a lot of other people on their videos, usually, but the actual animators of the video are hidden; almost a lie by omission. At best it’s a honest mistake, at worst it’s sneakily trying to pass off the video as something made in-house when it’s not. :(

Do you sometimes feel like you’re a character in a film? Like everything you’re thinking has already been written by someone and now it’s the moment when you need to deliver your monologue. You need to voice your deep thoughts about the silent torture of this life, but also express the hope for a better tomorrow, hope for something, not specified, but sweet, probably love because it’s what every character ever needs. Do you ever just want to tell the scriptwriter to fuck off. Because I do :)

Orly

Hearful, funny, her smile is so cute and precious;

Nickname – Oreo, she adores these cookies;

Looks kind of timid, but if she knows you and you know her, she is blooming with light and hope;

Likes making gifts and suprises, it can be everything, from a sudden backhug to your favorite food to movie night;

Quite good at cooking, Bran is better, but Orly is saving his back by making cookies for Phie; otherwise she will torture him just to receive more;

If you plan a joke and you need help, go to Orly, she won't be against making fun of someone;

But you should never irritate her or, oh my, piss her off;

She won't be against a fight if she sees no alternative or if she's blinded by rage; suprisingly, a good fighter;

Likes video games a lot, even though she's not really good at them;

But card games for life forever;

Likes animals, helps Yolo with feeding strays (named tabby kitten and his fellow puppy RJ and PJ), likes spending time teaching Firo new tricks; she taught him to steal Bran's snacks;

Vrai's sister-in-law, his biggest fan, jokes about being his "sister-in-love"; the one who bring him cactuses, one of them is called Oreo;

Xeana's biggest fan №2, the one she can talk with for hours and create cute girly jokes on others;

Her nickname is Yolo 'cause of her lifestyle and habit using "YOLO" in different situations;

Likes animals, A LOT;

Has a puppy named Inferno Jr., or Firo;

Feeds stray cats, named them Bubble, Rumbo, Chico, RJ, Nyariki and Gun;

That feather on her hat is a pen;

Always have some paper to write on, because..

Sometimes noone notices her! She can be so quiet sometimes that noone can find her, but if she notices this she has some banners with "I'M STILL HERE";

Always being inspired by Phie, she's Yona's rolemodel, even though Phie is same age as Yolo;

Yona is really close to everyone, who won't let her happiness in? But she still is mysterious;

When Yona isn't that "sunshine", noone but O. and Phoebe can find her, she trusts them the most;

One hell of a player, can beat everyone in board and card games, good opponent in video games;

Really smart, perfect student, but sometimes her flexible mind isn't appreciated by teachers;

He's such a cute fluffy princess inside, but he's also hot outside, even if he tries to hide this;

And he's caring, always ready to come and help or cheer someone up;

Random is his second name;

Can change between shy, quiet and loud, happy, joyful less than in one second;

That type of guy who will get in a fight to save a kitten (or a puppy, or other), or even a person, but will quietly listen to others mocking him;

Can sell his soul for a cup of hot white chocolate;

To hide his hot side he wears oversized clothes making him release his cute side, making things for girls even more complicated;

In fact, everyone is fascinated by his looks and personality, even Bran who sometimes doesn't get along with Vrai;

And Vrai himself is really addicted to Xeana, being her fan №1; he's just so fascinated by her (so do the others); they like to spend time together laying in the field, looking at the sky and listening to them breathing;

Phie is having trouble beating his scores in arcade games;

His cactuses' names are Spiky, Spooky, Lazy, Hula, Hoopa and Oreo, gifts from O., his sister-in-law;

He also has a hedgehog named Bungo, but others call him Vrai Jr.;

"All kinds of guitars" (electro, bass, acoustic, ukulele, etc.), smooth voice.

Nickname – Phie;

That kind of cliché gamer girla who is still fit and healthy and slim even without going out of her room;

Her room reminds some kind of party club, with all those colourful lights, speakers, etc.;

Full of energy and joy;

She can do EVERYTHING, YouTube helped))

If you ask her for help, she will help; if you ask her for help AND bring her some cookies, she will help with much more effort;

Always up to tease Bran, wherever, whenever;

Such a good friend to have, but everyone feels that she's still keeping her distance;

Even though she thinks she looks better without tails doesn't change them often;

She tries to be as much happy, joyful and open as she can but everyone still can feel that she has way more secrets than they think;

Giancente

Her name spells like [gıasénta], or something like that; it means "hyacinth";

Yes, but since her name is kind of heavy, everyone calls her Xeana [sıjána];

She has that otherwordly vibe, not energetic 4d, but that calm, soothing personality;

Can't and don't want to hide her feelings;

Can't be angry, can be only upset, sad or a little bit irritated;

Has a habit to close her eyes: while singing, while playing, while talking, while listening.... it looks like she sees more than we think;

And, because she often closes her eyes while walking, always walks into everything on her way; can be really clumsy;

Looks like it's hard for her to stay focused on something outside her head;

But if she's focused, nothing will bother her;

Isn't talking much, because "an opportunity to keep silence with someone dear to you about things you worry about is more valuable than a possibility to talk about this things";

She likes flowers, especially hyacinths and other spring special;

When she met V., the first thing she told him was: "You are so.. beautiful... You look like hyacinths from my garden back home..."; this made him blush so much that even Xeana was amused;

She has a special place in everyone's hearts just for being herself;

Plays piano, recorder and sings like an angel.
