What's that??? Why, it's this month's Patreon Requests!!
you shouldn't have to force yourself to be emotionally invested in your job to do the things you need to do for it. however also performance reviews are real and some kind of motivation can be helpful.
my strategy for this is treating it like a roguelike speedrun. we are trying to get a good clean run, rolling with the punches of the RNG, picking up new strats to maximize efficiency and stay entertained, etc. work and games have one thing in common which is Rules, and the feeling of mastery from learning and using those rules.
***this is not a "work can be fun! uwu" post or a "you just need a positive outlook to overcome burnout! uwu" post or anything along those lines. it's perfectly respectable to give a solid 60%> at work. this is just my personal method for doing that without forcing myself to be emotionally invested in it.
everyone applaud or else
defying gravity came on shuffle while I was driving home and I ended up making myself ultra mega emotional imagining a transfem elphaba singing it. my god...
r ppl legit harassing u over an opinion of a movie? lmao
I hadn't even seen the movie (or any other significant br-related pieces of media) when I made that post, so more like my opinion of a concept tbh
the og green text for the backrooms said something else was in there with you can you people shut the fuck up and just let people have their fun. kane pixels series is incredibly well made and if you don't like that's fine but you all just bitch bitch bitch
just block me dude lmao
taps the sign again
people keep asking for picture of my cats but I simply don't have any good ones yet u-u; they're all distant cryptid-type things
this is currently the best I can give u

the backrooms are simply not as scary conceptually if there is Something In Them
the whole reason why they're so unnerving is BECAUSE there's nothing in them!! because they're unrelentingly liminal and lonely and uncomforting. there shouldn't be a monster guy in there chasing you. you should glimpse other humans (?) from a distance but they walk away before you can close the gap and then they're gone. things should run away from YOU. do u get it
"and there was a MONSTERowooowwohhhh" the monster is isolation and banal beige sameness and uncanny valley architecture. you fool. you rube. you're putting a hat on a hat and the second hat is not only unnecessary but it ruins the first hat!!!!!!! "there's a monster in there" great so now it's just another place for a monster to be. ridiculous
fine I will concede: you CAN actually put something in there while maintaining the vibes, but it should complement the location instead of just being a generic scary guy you could put literally anywhere

stockholm syndrome doesn't exist, except for when you start liking some of the songs that play on your work radio that you would never put in your casual playlists
me when I hear sugar by maroon 5 outside work: it's fine :)
me when I hear sugar by maroon 5 at work: oh hell yeah this is my jaaaammm
