Toddlers are so pure. She doesn’t understand that we help her with certain things because she’s little. She thinks that everyone just helps each other like that. So she tries to blow on my food and cut it up for me and tries to help me put on my shoes.

i was giving little wagon rides to a baby around the backyard one day and all of a sudden she hops off and slaps the seat of the wagon telling me to get on because it was my turn and i was like no it’s ok im too heavy and she was like NO ITS UR TURN and kept tugging on my hand so i would sit down. eventually i got on and it was just a little 2 year old trying so hard to push me around on a wagon not understanding why it wouldn’t budge but still so determined to let me have my turn lol

If we have to have “former fattie” as a trope, can we at least write characters whose lives weren’t 100% shitty beforehand and whose lives are not unequivocally better after weight loss? People who had friends and lovers while they were fat and are having trouble navigating their world after they lose weight?

Can we see women talking about how they trust men even less now because men they’ve known for years, who were aware of how fun and smart and talented they are suddenly started hitting on them when they lost 100 pounds.  

Can we see someone who lost weight talking about how his boyfriend became super possessive  because the boyfriend is afraid he’ll leave or cheat?

Or someone talking about how even though they didn’t lose that much weight, suddenly the types of people who are hitting on them has changed and some of the people who would have approached them before are holding back because of preconceived notions about how someone who looks like them will act?

Can we have characters who didn’t lose weight purposefully but because of illness talk about how torn they are about gaining weight back, because certain people do treat them better but they also feel like shit because they’re the same person, dammit and they love to eat.

Can we have characters who lost a bunch of weight and didn’t find themselves inundated with new romantic interests, and having to process that the magic fix didn’t work?

Basically can we have formerly fat characters who weren’t miserable before and whose lives aren’t magically transformed for the better just because they lost weight?  Who deal with what is a huge life change realistically?
