"Yeah, basically. I try to separate myself from the other criminals in Gotham. Seein' too much of myself in other people tends to make it harder if I need to waste someone. "
୧ ‧₊˚ 🔪💋 ⋅ ──── "Was that the intention when coming here? Wasting me?"
"No. See, some guys like Nygma, or Copplebot? Doesnt' matter if they see me coming, if I'm within 15 feet of them and want 'em dead, they're dead. You? I'd rather you not see me coming. You're competent up close."

"You know, our methods aren't that different from each other. I guess you're a bit.....flashier, though."
୧ ‧₊˚ 🔪💋 ⋅ ──── "I've always been one for theatrics... But you're just realizing this now?"
"Yeah, basically. I try to separate myself from the other criminals in Gotham. Seein' too much of myself in other people tends to make it harder if I need to waste someone. "
"Careful Two-Face, I might hold you to that." Hood replied, getting comfortable, getting a feel for the car. "No offense, Harvey; but I feel like once they see I'm with you, they won't be stupid enough to try anything.
The Narrows? "Yeah, I know it." There wasn't an inch of this city he didn't have memorized. Parts of Metropolis, Starr city, and most of Bludhaven.
"Daggett......Last I checked he was a small-fry. His operation's grown?" Another name to keep tabs on. To control one way or another. And if he couldn't be controlled? He could join Falcone.
~. "That's what we're counting on, Pal."
Two-Face could've waited for the prime opportunity to bring Red Hood along to show his big scary dog privileges, but this would be as good as any. In this city, a safe and secure future was never promised. So if they wanted to make good use of Red Hood's 'talents'; they had to bring him along for anything.
And something told them Daggett wasn't going to go easy on them once they set foot on their self-proclaimed turf.
"And --- Yes. We suspect someone else has been giving him more room to grow as of late. Someone with a lot more power than him."
Even Binary had said the same after doing her own investigation. Daggett wasn't someone they originally worried about. But now, it was clear there was another puppetmaster pulling the strings. And for what reason...
They were hoping to find out tonight.
With the only remaining arched eyebrow left on their scarred visage, Harvey and Two-Face glanced back to Red Hood. Appreciating his approach to both the quest at hand and driving their car. Discretion was always appreciated.
"You've dealt with him before?".~
"No, I don't think so. Most guys I 'deal' with are dead by the end of it, so." Hood replied, calmly and casually driving. Why bring too much attention to them? And going slow meant more time to talk.
"Any ideas on who might be backing him? Sionis? Or maybe his connections lie with people outside the city, attempting to get a foothold in Gotham?" The triad? The bratva? Maybe a gang from Metropolis?
Jason wanted to bite back that he wasn't necessarily working with Two-face, but rather, that they had a temporary mutually benefitting agreement that meant that they didn't go sticking their fingers into the other one's business. Jason used Two-Face's connections to get the few bits of details, favors and whatnot his training couldn't already get him.
.....Shit, he really was working with Two-Face, wasn't he? "Yeah, I'm sure." Could anyone working for a major criminal in Gotham truly be nice? Could he be considered nice? 'No. I'm not nice. I'm good, but I'm not nice. I'm right, but I'm not nice.'
He followed her, quiet for a moment. When he finally broke the silent, he asked something with little thought behind it. He just wanted to break the silence. "What made you work for Two-Face of all people? Riddler get jealous you're better at computers?"
>. " ---Riddler? Jealous? Hah. He does seem like the petty type, yeah. But no --- He and I definitely don't get along. That guy is really full of himself, you know?"
She could go on a rant about Nygma as much as she could rant about Scarecrow -- but that's not what the vigilante was there to talk about. He did ask about Two-Face, after all. With a slight snap of her body, both hands clutched the doorframe where they passed. Tilting her head in a light sigh before responding properly to what Red Hood had asked of her.
"---It was sort of not by choice. He sat on some information about a case I was working on, and next thing that coin gets flipped and I'm suddenly forced to work for him. Sure. I could've walked away. But..."
Binary stood still for a second. Pondering if Red Hood had to know this about them. About her.
"...He and Harvey were there for me when I needed someone the most. So. I stuck around." A shrug.
"Staying on their good side keeps me safe. He helps me, I help him. And I wouldn't trade it for anything." Then, a small scoff.
"---What about you? What's your story, tough guy...?".<
"You're a hacker, isn't your job to know my story?" Jason asked, following her along. Still, maybe he should play nice. She worked for Twoface; Twoface already knew most of it. She'd find out one way or another, and one way was deep-diving into Jason's life. He could make it easier by spilling some of the beans now.
"Used to run with the Bat. Ever seen him up close?" He was curious, then realized he stopped answering her question. "I used to be a Robin. And then the Joker kidnapped me, tortured me, beat me within an inch of my life, and blew me up." He shrugged it off.
"Came back to life, came back to Gotham, and now I kill people. Because Batman's way of doin' things just got me killed. It doesn't work."

"My first night back in Gotham? I still think about it from time to time. I took a private jet with the League of Assassins to Metropolis; didn't want Bruce to see me coming. Not yet. Stole some tires and car parts and sold 'em to get my hands on a motorcycle.
I rode into Bludhaven first. Wanted to see if Dick was still there, still Nightwing. Staked out one of his usual hangout spots, and caught him leaping from a rooftop. I could hear him laugh at something from the other side of the bug; I think he was talking to Barbara. I remember sitting there and thinking 'How could you laugh without me there?'
Well, I figured out how pretty damn quick. On my ride into Gotham, I saw him on the news. Batman. With a Robin. My replacement.
Ya know, I know it was never meant to hurt me. Doesn't change that it did. Bro moves on, Dad replaces you. What else can you do but get angry?"
Jason's arms crossed over one another on his chest. "I'm almost disappointed; I kinda thought your big favor would be bigger. A personal 'fuck you' to the Batman, or to be your plus one to two parties at the Iceberg Lounge." He cracked.
"But you're right, I guess. You're safer with me around. You want a driver and a personal bodyguard for the night? You got it. Just don't expect me to go somewhere unarmed." He wasn't about to go into Twoface's lair and have his guns removed, for example. He slid into the driver's seat. Not a bad car. He'd certainly hotwired worse.
~. Two-Face were quick to chortle upon the mention if the Lounge -- but Harvey wasn't so amused. Damn his adversary's incapability of laughing at jokes when they were so perfectly presented to them.
"How about we make the Iceberg Lounge dangerous next weekend --- but tonight, we deal with business first."
As the engine hummed alive, Two-Face's personality began to slowly transition back to Harvey's before he took full reign of their body. After all, Two-Face had a tendency of finding reasons to avoid all work as much as possible. Unless the work required him to punch some teeth in. That he would gladly assist with.
"You keep as many weapons on you as possible. Daggett's sure to bring his own men into the meeting, so it'll be your job to size them up. Give them a run for their money, so to speak."
Rummaging through their pocket, they pulled out their phone before accessing their notes and map. Reminding themselves of the adress they were heading to.
"You know the Narrows well -- correct? That's where we're heading.".~
"Careful Two-Face, I might hold you to that." Hood replied, getting comfortable, getting a feel for the car. "No offense, Harvey; but I feel like once they see I'm with you, they won't be stupid enough to try anything.

⠀⠀⠀The shadows seemed to bend and shift as if alive, a faint thudding of heavy armoured boots bringing the familiar silhouette ever closer to the red-hooded vigilante. Those thin, white slits he called eyes stared back, as if the void itself had opened and something was peering through it, directly into Jason's soul.
⠀⠀⠀"You're coming with me." The only phrase the shadows uttered, not budging an inch. It wasn't a request. It wasn't asking for a favour. It was a demand. A command growled out to a disorderly subordinate.
⠀⠀⠀Vengeance had no patience.

Oh, this was rich. Did he think Jason wouldn't hear him coming? Red eyes stared back at white, the body moving no sudden moves but clearly on edge.
"Not even a hello? You know, when Alfred taught me manners, I learned you start conversations with 'hello'. Did that not sink in with you? Don't answer that, I remember being a Robin."
At the order, Jason barked one single laugh. "To where? Jail? Arkham? You can't risk me telling anyone anything.....The Batcave?" He mused.
"You haven't invited that asshole to the party, have you?"
"Quinn, there isn't a party. You brought up the party. You made this into a party. I haven't told anyone anything about a party. So if some asshole shows up, then you probably invited them. .
.
.
"Quinn, who the fuck did you invite to my safehouse?" Welp, he's gonna need a new one, now.
