SPORTS IS ALL ABOUT DREAMING AND HOPING AND DEVOTING.
watching the entire f1 internet come together to shit talk sainz oh the world is so beautiful
honestly yeah my dash has been so united in haterism it’s so beautiful 💕💕💕💕
also he deserves it when i first saw the incident i was like. trying to give him the benefit of the doubt just a tiny bit BUT HE CUTS INSIDE KNOWING OSCAR IS THERE AND THEN HE DOESNT MOVE OUT OF THE WAY INSTANTLY AFTER THE INCIDENT i hope he genuinely stubs his toe over and over and over again
genuinely my heart BREAKS for oscar it breaks and breaks to lose out on this race win because of CARLOS AND FERNANDO BATTLING FOR LAST PLACE and carlos GENUINELY being the prickiest prick dumbfuck driver
CARLOS SAINZ PRICK OF ALL TIME INSANE TO ME THAT EVEN AFTER THE CONTACT CARLOS DOESNT FUCKING MOVE
HADJAR BALLS OF STEEEEL
good first pit stop for charles!
watching the race in 30 why am i doing this to myself
oscar calling carlos dumb stupid and blind repeatedly in the media pen with a completely straight face is fucking sending me askskjdjfbfjd 😭😭😭
so why is doriane on canal plus all the time where is my girl racing
look i am kinda excited for sepang being back but that does mean we have a baku sepang singapore TRIPLE HEADER then a week off and then a cota mexico brazil TRIPLE HEADER which after we have ANOTHER TRIPLE HEADER with las vegas qatar abu dhabi. it will be insane for the teams😭
anyway different beef so tired of influencers (especially brown diaspora influencers) being like “let me show you the basic maintenance costs of being a woman #feminism” and it’s like. paying 1836372918 dollars to thread their eyebrows and wax every single part of their bodies. mandatory 1627920000 dollars towards manicures and pedicures per year. unironic 1000 dollar hair cut style and dye.
like ESPECIALLY for south asian influencers they’re like “obviously NO woman should ever remove hair if they don’t want to!! 😣 but i wax every three days and i go to laser at the end of every month but it’s just cos i’m a HAIRY BEAST of a woman as all brown girls know we are basically sasquatches hehehe 🥰 ”
like genuinely it just reinforces un-fucking-tenable beauty standards under the patriarchy as “basic hygiene” (which it fucking isn’t) and i swear to god is a self-reinforcing pink tax. it’s fine for these people to do it when they get thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars in pr every week. but characterizing it as “basic” is literally sooooo out of touch, tone-deaf, and latently patriarchal that it has my head so fucking hot
(any form of beauty treatment (waxing, mani pedis, facials) is obviously within one’s free will to obtain and it is no one’s job to say you SHOULDN’T have one if you can afford it and you enjoy it!)
but i swear to fucking god especially when it comes to professional hair removal it is 1- expensive 2- perennial and 3- SUCH a fucking social construct like genuinely social construct of all time there is not one appealing redeeming part of the process and it’s sold as basic hygiene at this point BY THE PEOPLE WHO WERE PREVIOUSLY IMPACTED BY STIGMA WE PROP IT UP OURSELVES like please just be fucking chill and stop acting like everyone should be blowing thousands of dollars on shit like this
every carlos hater belongs in my club welcome BACK oscar piastri i will pray for your success at the tail end of the summer break making room for you next to all my charles swag
HE WAS FIGHTING FERNANDO FOR LAST PLACE LIKE IT WAS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.
guys prime oscar is so back i wish this wasn’t right before the summer break so we could get more discourse about how much carlos sucks
i hope everyone knows that based on the dash i thought that in the 8 hours i was 30,000 feet above the ground ferrari had truly instituted their own version of papaya rules and charles DID lift for lewis‘s “championship run”
then k informed me that in fact did not happen and instead it’s some sort of collective hallucination/delusion
Charles Interview with Canal+
Q: You ended up fifth in that first turn, what happened at the start?
CL: Well, quite simply, when I did the start procedure and released the clutch, there was, I think, much less grip than we expected. I had quite a lot of wheelspin. then into turn 1, I was kind of squeezed between Lewis and, I think, Max. I had to back out there as well. After that, we were down to p5 and from then on it was extremely difficult to fight our way back.
What's difficult to understand is that...—it's not something that only affects us, but maybe it affects us more than the others—there's too many sessions like this [inconsistent]. The run on the soft tires wasn't too bad, the first stint on the hard tires was actually pretty good. The second stint on the hards, I had no feeling with the car at all. It was extremely difficult to understand what was going on with the tires. Then the soft tires at the end were actually quite good, but by then we were on an offset strategy compared to the others, so it's difficult to make a direct comparison. Still, the feeling was good.
It's just very difficult to find consistency with this car.
Q: It must be a hard hit for Ferrari, after the good run of races before and just before the summer break, are you leaving with a lot of questions / scratching your head?
CL: What's really strange is that this is completely the opposite of what we expected based on the last three races. The two races where we thought we'd really struggle, we finished first and second. The race where we expected to be quite competitive, we finished fourth and fifth.
But that pretty much sums up these cars in general. I think it's difficult for everyone to understand, we just have to be better than the others at figuring it out
On my side I will continue to work on understanding why the inconsistency is there in this car, why in the same tires, doing more or less the same thing, it can be so different. It’s very strange.
