Wayne charity ball

Jason walks into the ball in a three piece suit thinking he looks better then everyone there, but also feels a little awkward being back in the Wayne mansion after so long, trying to avoid Bruce and the rest of them knowing he's here just to have some fun and down time.

“Speaking of the joker, I had a conversation with him. And I guess he mad some sense when it came to Bruce.” Tim sighed and looked up to Jason and heard the other’s confession. “I know, Jason. But I need you. Dick is just… Dick. Barbara is there but mostly for Dick and Cassie knows just as much as I do.”

I’m staying in this abandoned warehouse that I’ve fixed up, food comes easy. But that life is done for me.“ Jason says looking at Tim and then adds as he finally stands up “I’ve given up on regaining that life and so should you.”

Death was becoming an occurrence they people just shrugged it off like they were breathing. “Come on even you know how observant I am. Remeber I knew dick and Bruce were batman and robin from Watching a YouTube video. And I knew it was you around town I just didn’t know how to approach you.” Tim shook his head. “No, you have to be the one to tell them on your time.”

He let’s out a chuckle ponders for a second and says “ I remember the day I became numb to death, one day Bruce and I broke up this crime ring we go right through the front door, and there is a dead man, and all these villains around him laughing and having a drink, I guess what I’m saying if there is any doubt in becoming robin, don’t be the next robin because then you’ll die out there or worse you’ll come back,and find out your killer is still alive and Bruce has a replacement for you.”

“I-….” Tim couldn’t disagree with Jason because Captain Boomerang still had breath and life flowing through his body, while his parents didn’t. “So the man who brings Justice, well is supposed to bring it, just lets the villains live on another day to end up killing again?”

“Yes” He says simply “Joker,Tony Zucco, and Captain boomerang should all be in a grave, not still killing innocent kids and parents, they aren’t scared of Bruce any more, why would they be?” He asks trying to stay calm

Tim held his head down, he didn’t want to believe it but what Jason was saying was true and had support to prove it. He could have been easily killed by the Joker a few nights ago and what would Bruce or Batman have done about it? “Maybe I should become my own hero. I-I don’t want to be a sidekick to someone who lets killers have another day to live.”

Jason remembers when he felt that way “Especially when it’s your father figure you look up to them, and admire them,it hurts that much more when you see their true colors, and feelings what their code won’t allow them to do, but the people they fight will slaughter them without a second thought.”

Tim sighed and looked down to the ground. “I don’t want to hate him… But he hurts to only see him just incarcerate those people. I mean after what happened to you, I would have expected him to rip the Jokers head off but… He didn’t.” Tim looked up to Jason. “What should I do, Jason.”

Jason looks up to the sky and back down looking for the right words, searching for the answer he didn’t have.“I…don’t know Tim, that’s a answer you have to come up with on your own, right now he’s your mentor and it will be your choice.”

“And what if I make the wrong one?” Tim looks at Jason pleadingly and sighed. “What if I go on my own or die or what if I am with Bruce and unhappy.”
