Today marks the 40th anniversary of "Jane Eyre" 1983 version starring Zelah Clarke (Jane) and Timothy Dalton (Mr. Rochester).

This version is known for being the faithful adaptation of the novel and it is sometimes used in many schools to study its story. To this day, it remains one of the most popular adaptations of said novel.
