Well, I just got floored. No, really. It is not everyday that I get amazed the way I just did.
So, I've been doing some research into different note taking apps (Evernote, Springpad, Memonic, etc.) and which is the best for what I do. Here's a little history: I've been using Evernote and Springpad pretty regularly. Each one has their differences, they are both amazing apps. I'm not going to get into the differences here, but you can read this article for more on that (this article also speaks to Memonic which i'm also looking into).
During my research I'm finding that almost all of the note taking apps do the same things, email notes in, web clippers, etc. However, its kind of difficult to share notes with other people. Many of the times the other people have to sign up for an account (which most people don't want to do!!) and then it's just one more password they have to remember. The thing is that there are so many times that I want to share notes or information with people (other than an email) and its never been very easy.
Well, let me just prepare you...Simplenote just freaking blew my socks off!!!
Seriously.
Inside Simplenote you can tag someone by their email and they will get sent a notification that someone shared a note with you (this is cool and saves some steps, but not the wow factor I'm talking about). After they click on the link to see the note, it takes them to a webpage where they see what you've typed. This web page is EDITABLE!!! Let me say that again.
THIS WEBPAGE IS EDITABLE. WITHOUT A LOGIN OR A PASSWORD.
There is no saving, no resending, no nothing. It automatically shares whatever that person (or persons) writes on the page back to your notes.
If you have ever needed a simple way to collaborate with someone on a trip or a grocery list or ANYTHING, this is a godsend.
You have to go and try it out yourself. I'm not joking. Please, do yourself a favor and do it. You won't be sorry.
The service is free with a baby add at the top of the app, or $20/year. Honestly, I'd say pony up the $20 bucks and call it a day for that kind of collaboration.
Here's the funny thing, Simpelnote is note promoting this feature to those of us who use collaboration tools. They really should. I'm still amazed that it does this. It is such a simple tool and a simple thing; but, it has some major impacts.

I really love qr codes but have always been fearful to use them on business cards or anything permenent, until now. Check out this site. Pretty cool how you can have multiple web sites set up and just change the code whenever you wish.
I have been using Wunderlist for a few months now and have found it to be very helpful. I migrated from Things and find that it is a bit faster to use and a lot more fun; and the best part it's FREE!!!

Gotta check out this FREE app. It uses your iPhones camera to measure off your rooms. I've played a bit with it and have been pretty satisfied. Really kinda cool!!
This website gives you the ability to poll audiences and actually show graphs of their responses.
This is a website where you can interact with audiences, or students, while doing presentations or teaching. The great thing about it is that its all web based, no apps to download!! Check them out.
Prezi is a great place to make really fun and easy presentations that are NOT like normal presentations. Check out their website for what makes them so different. You can also collaborate with people on a Prezi at the same time. It has it's drawbacks, but for all the it does it is definitely something to take a look at.
