If you get migraines (I do) or eye strain and you have an apple device, try this instead of “dark mode”:
settings > accessibility > display & text size > reduce white point
It helps me SO MUCH MORE than dark mode!

So uh, today I learned something that has changed my life. You can turn the brightness on an iphone down even more! If you go to accessibility (under settings or general settings depending) and then go to display, reduce white point will allow you to turn the brightness down significantly. It’s so freaking amazing.
Reduce White Point vs Night Shift explained for glare-sensitive iPhone users. See what most people miss, compare fixes fast, and pick your best setting.

Hey um, why the fuck did scrolling over a blazed post literally raise my phone screen brightness. I like, scrolled back and forth on the cusp just to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, and 100% this blazed post made my screen brighter while I was over it.
???????
Dark mode is so dumb. "it doesn't blind me" It doesn't? No, you fool, your screen is set at maximum brightness. It fucking hurts to look at. Meanwhile I need light mode to even see anything on my minimum brightness screen.
