Got some new monster info charts for MHGU! They’re designed to fit just within the margins of an 8.5″x11″ sheet of paper at 300dpi, weighing in at 2048x2765 pixels, so be sure to view them at full size if you think they’re too small! They also have redone grading from my MHGen charts, to more accurately reflect how each monster fits in. You’ll also note a sidebar to the right, designed to help newer players understand what each of the status icons means.

Full playlist for my MHXXNS import guide

Got some resources here for MHXX players! They’re all covered and linked in the description of part 5 of my import guide (playlist linked above; guide not yet complete at time of this writing), but I figure having all these links in a more easily accessible place would be helpful for folks. Food Skills List — Includes whether each skill is available as a fixed skill, daily skill, or daily drink skills (which foods using an alcohol as an ingredient pull from for their randomized skills). Hunt Locales — Never need to question where a hunt takes place again!

Village Key Quests — In image form to make it easier to match them to what you see in-game. Multiplayer Key Quests — Also in image form. Village Quest Clarifications — Covers all non-key village quests whose icons don’t make it immediately obvious what you need to do. In image form, with info on what to get, where to get it, if it’s a villager request, and what rewards it gives if it is. Multiplayer Quest Clarifications — Covers all non-key multiplayer quests whose icons don’t make it immediately obvious what you need to do. Also I do believe this may be the first time the BW and G versions of the chart have appeared on Tumblr. They’re for those who wish to print it out and have it still look nice without using so much colored ink.

Edited out some accidental misinformation. Weakness Exploit looks at hitzone values BEFORE sharpness multipliers, and therefore higher or lower sharpness will not trigger WeakX on different hitzones.

I don’t actually like updating this thing so often, but sometimes Monster Hunter throws you a curve and a monster uses a move you’ve never seen from it before. Did you know Kushala Daora can cause Dragonblight? I didn’t!

Between that, a few other things confirmed, and the correction of an omission (how on earth did I forget to give Amatsu his Waterblight icon?), we’ve got another update! With luck, I’ll never have to update it again, but there’s already some information I need to either confirm or debunk vis-a-vis a certain upset ape’s fists.

Another minor update to the chart means another excuse to share it around! Now with erroneous waterblight removed from Zamtrios.

Finally, the chart is ready for launch, with all localized names and as accurate of information as I could put in it! Even threw in another chart to let you know what parts of the monsters to hit for your desired effects!

It’s taken a lot of carts, sweat, and tears to bring all this to you, but I’m glad to do it. The Wycademy’s about to get a lot of new researchers, and being able to help them find their footing would make this hunter proud!

I was gonna wait until MHGen came out to reveal this, but the demo is good enough and I can’t wait any more! I commissioned my pal Evan again, asking for my Dark Souls 3 character facing off against a Lagiacrus in Pokémon style, to represent the three major game series I expect to be playing later this year, and boy did he deliver!
