There are people who may wonder why they didn’t show kids of Fluttershy and Discord. I can assure you it’s not because they didn’t wanted to confirm them as much as CheesePie. Them living together with animals can’t mean anything else other than Fluttershy moving in when she got married. The problem with confirming their kids is that there are plenty of choices that could have been picked and show staff didn’t want to confirm anything that had many possibilities. We have as many fans seeing their future kid as draconequus as we have people seeing it as a pony. Many even imagine Screwball to be their canon kid from the future. Animators left it ambiguous for fans or comics to figure it out. Same goes with other Mane6 shippings. CheesePie and FlutterCord were the only obvious picks they could confirm. With Aj, Dash and Rarity you have as many fans of AppleDash as RariJack and Sparity. If they shown Rarity having pony kids, then all Sparity, CapperxRarity fans would have been disappointed. If Aj had any kids at all, then AppleDash or RariJack would also never worked. With Twilight, i guess they weren’t too confident to show Flash Sentry after he was claimed as the most unpopular character in the fandom. There was never much drama over Pinkie and Fluttershy ships. As much as people may think otherwise, Dislestia, FlutterBulk and TwiPie were never serious options for the characters in the show staff eyes. We had lot of teasing of FlutterCord ever since S3 and Angel Bunny out right saying that Fluttershy want to marry him. It wasn’t hard to imagine that they would marry and move in to a shared place. And they pick Discord’s dimension because their kid would probably need space for his magic outbursts as well as chaos environment. In the end the show didn’t wanted to imply that Discord and Fluttershy have no kids just like they didn’t wanted to imply that Rarity, Aj and Dash are childless and without husbands. They just left it for fans to decide. Now each fanmade content shipping RariJack, AppleDash or Sparity might be as much valid. The only thing that writers wanted to confirm were CheesePie, LyraBon and FlutterCord (and Doctor/Roseluck) because these were the biggest ships that the show invested in in the last 9 seasons and leaving them ambiguous would mean they just “dropped” those plotlines and that would really disappoint many fans. So don’t stress out over it. As the first FlutterCord episode was titled - Keep Calm and Flutter On with the fanfics and fan comics in which Discord and Fluttershy have a kid or plenty of kids or maybe adopted a kid. These are the endless possibilities that you should worry about now because the ship itself became canon.
