“Walk with me,” she murmured, already standing.

“I’m fine,” you muttered, even as your back lightly met the wall.
She smiled.

“Liar.”
Her hand found your waist—firm, steady, pulling you just a little closer. Not enough to be obvious… but enough.
You swallowed.
“Emily—”
“Relax,” she murmured, leaning in just slightly, her breath warm near your ear. “I’ve got you.”
That confidence—that was the problem.
Because Emily didn’t hesitate.
Didn’t second-guess.
Her fingers tightened just a fraction, grounding you as her voice dropped even lower—
“Let me take care of you for a minute.”
Your hand caught her wrist—not stopping her, just… holding on.
“Someone could come back here,” you whispered.
She hummed, amused.
“Then we’ll be quick.”
You don’t know how long you were back there.
Too long.
Not long enough.
Just enough to forget where you were—until—
A floorboard creaked.
A voice.
“…I told you they were back here—”
You froze.
Emily didn’t.
Not even a little.
She just leaned back slightly, completely unbothered, while you tried to steady your breathing.
The curtain shifted.
And there they were.
Morgan.
JJ.
Reid—who immediately looked like he regretted every decision that led him here.
Silence.
Then—
Morgan grinned.
“Oh, we are definitely interrupting something.”
Your face burned.
“Shut up,” you muttered, looking anywhere but at them.
JJ tried—and failed—to hide a smile.
Reid just turned around immediately. “I’m going back to my seat.”
Smart.
Emily?
Emily actually laughed.
Low. Easy. Completely unaffected.
“Don’t you all have something better to do?” she asked, one eyebrow raised like she wasn’t the least bit caught.
Morgan leaned against the doorway.
“Nah. This is way more interesting.”
You groaned, covering your face slightly.
“Can we not—”
“Oh we absolutely can’t,” Morgan cut in. “You two disappear mid-flight and expect us not to notice?”
JJ nudged him. “Leave them alone.”
She paused.
“…after we land.”
The rest of the flight?
Hell.
Absolute hell.
Morgan wouldn’t stop making comments.
JJ kept giving you that look.
Even Reid avoided eye contact like he’d accidentally walked into something life-changing.
And Emily?
Sat next to you like nothing happened.
Like she didn’t occasionally lean closer just to murmur something under her breath—
“You’re still blushing.”
You nudged her, whispering harshly, “This is your fault.”
