#157 Typhlosion - The Volcano Pokémon.
Weight; 175.3 lbs. - 79.5 kg
Typhlosion obscures itself behind a shimmering heat haze that it creates using its intensely hot flames. This Pokémon creates blazing explosive blasts that burn everything to cinders. It has a secret, devastating move; It rubs its blazing fur together to cause huge explosions.
Director: Typlosion, competitively, has no place on a team in the Rarelyused tier. There's plenty of other, better placed Pokémon to use, but I've always enjoyed using Starter Pokémon in my battles, even if they aren't that great! Speaking of battles--
Battle! - Stats are nothing too spectacular about this bear. 78 HP and Defense, 84 Attack and Sp. Defense, 100 Speed, and 109 Special Attack. Can you guess which stat's I'll be emphasizing?
Director: I've decided to mix things up and give Typhlosion more of a chance against physical attackers, and a Timid nature to raise that cut-off Speed stat. For future reference, all new format Pokémon being reviewed will now have more original EV sets than 252^2 and 4. Now let's use these stats to our advantage!
Attack! - There isn't much option with a special attacking Typhany. Powerful moves is where it's at. Eruption with 150p at full health and STAB! Fire Blast for 120p and STAB, but 85a. Focus Blast with 120p but 70a for those Rock-types, and a Solarbeam Power Herb combo for 120p and immediate usage!
Miscellaneous Moves: Flamethrower, Toxic, Hidden Power, Protect, Substitute, Hyper Beam, Extrasensory, Heat Wave, Roar.
Looks! - Typhlosion may be based off of a mixture between a honey badger and a bear, and given a fiery twist. Its name originates from typhoon, a tropical storm in the western oceans, and explosion.
And that's all for today! Stay here next time when Landorus is here on The Keen Eye! Thanks for reading!
