your reblog about type 2 and 4 is so true, just recently visited asuka langley sorhyu's page because I think she's such an obvious e3 te dom and then i see too many genuine arguments for her being a fi dom e4 or fe dom e2 and people acting like this is such an obvious thing that the majority miss, like how is this happening and how r people arguing about these wideeely different types that rarely have anything in common with each other. it's because asuka is a girl with issues, isn't it.
to me both of those typing exemplify the current state of typology in general and how people have gotten worst at typing in enneagram
Outright ignoring core desire
Trait typing (usually focusing on SX2 being assertive and Sx4 being angry)
Placing more emphasis on shallow descriptions of subtypes than type structure or core desire
And since most of these people jump straight to subtype I doubt they take into consideration (or even know to be honest) Triads and object relations. To clarify this point a bit better but being describe as assertive in types description isnt the same as being in the assertive triad.
These typings fall so flat to me because if you put the slightest bit of scrutiny or critical thought they fall apart quickly. And while Asuka's horrible mistypings are the ones I see the most (and talk about the most myself due to previously explained reasons) it isnt the only one.
sp2 Lili de Rochefort from tekken
At this point any female character previously typed as (3-7-8) being typed as an SX2 or E2 in general is kind of a red flag in my eyes its giving...
SP3 Kento Nanami, Jill Valentine, Yasu
I dont even know where to start with E4 cuz people just type anyone as 4 now Ex: Kenzo Tenma, Nana O, Harry Potter, Ellie Williams, Chloe Price and so on at this point we are ALL type 4s
SX6 Nate jacobs, Wednesday Adams, Walter White and Faith Lehane
SO7 Light Yagami and Princess Bubble gum
And these are the ones I remember from the top of my ahead
