UNDER THE CYBERKNIFE

It's been a while since I've posted and I wasn't sure I wanted to include this in my blog, but I have to. I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer back in 2025. I was faced with either 28 days of chemo, low dose radiation with all the side effects or 5 sessions under the CybrKnife with high doses of very concentrated radiation aimed directly at the cancer. I will find out in June how successful it all was as it takes from 3 months to a year for the cancer cells to die off. It's all part of the journey.

I started this blog 10 years ago.

I had just turned 50 and it felt like such a monumental achievement for what I'd put my body though with how I'd lived my uncommon life that a blog seemed a celebratory way to go forward.

Now as I approach 60 I have that same feeling of accomplishment. Not so much from heavy partying but surviving a Minor Anterior Heart Attack, a Broken Calcaneus Bone, Open Heart Surgery to replace my Aortic Valve and this whole Covid thing. It's been a full decade of ups and downs.

In May I begin My Life at 60 and we'll see how this body holds up.

SEATTLE AT NIGHT

I got a ride home from my parents house and as we drive into, through and past downtown Seattle I played a little with the settings on my camera and got these shots. It was fun to play with again after a period of record keeping, cataloguing and passports. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my photography work but I need to remember how much more I enjoy more photography fun.

DECORATING FOR THE 4TH OF JULY

This year for the 4th of July yard display I am making skyrockets! Since real ones pose such a fire hazard I wanted to make something that had the same sparkle but wouldn’t blow an arm off. My goal is to have 30-40 of these little babies made and ready to hang up by the first week of June.
