Hello everyone,
A few days ago, I was contacted by the Shehab ( @danashehab ) and Amal Ashour ( @amal-ashour-new ) families from northern Gaza and heard their story. Believe me, what they told me is not easy to say or hear.
Please listen to the message they convey in the video to understand what they've been through.
The Shehab family and the Amal Ashour family were cut off from the internet for 50 days, during which they were trapped while their area was under siege by the IDF. Amal is in the last months of her pregnancy, and her husband was seriously injured during the attacks by the zionist occupation. They are currently displaced, and are struggling to make ends meet. They need these funds so that they both can get the treatment they need, and provide food and shelter for the young children of both families.
They asked me to amplify their voices, and I'm conveying their message:
The whole world is watching, but true support begins with those who, upon hearing and seeing these families' stories, stand by them and donate until they reach safety. Today, we desperately need your support—not just prayers, but action. Help us by donating, sharing, speaking out, in any way you can.
Every share, every dollar, every word can change a life.
We can't stop the war, but we can stop a family's suffering.
You can be the reason we experience a day of safety after all the fear.
Here is the link to the joint chuffed campaign for both families:
Hello friends, I'm Sahar! Lia & I are friends of the Ashours & Shehabs, and we'll be helping them run this campaign. Both families have had
Their campaign has been shared by @bilal-sala7 who appears on @/el-shab-hussein @/nabulsi and @/moayesh1 's list of vetted fundraisers. Amal's campaign was previously vetted (#175 on the list) by them as well, but they had to restart the campaign on chuffed since their previous gfm was shut down.
🙏 Please donate, share this post.
Your donations are more powerful than you can imagine.
Amal's husband Mo'tasem's treatment is very expensive so theyre in desperate need for funds right now. Please donate whatever you can spare.

I’ve been away for a while because of everything we’ve been going through 💔 It’s been some really hard and painful days, but thank God we’re still here 🕊️ Thank you to everyone who’s stayed kind and supportive, even in my silence — it truly means a lot 🙏 Right now, I need your support more than ever. Your presence gives us hope to keep going 🤍
My friend Amal (@amal-ashour-now2) messaged me this picture and story:
Today, bullets pierced our tent… the children were playing inside when it happened.
We are a displaced family, living in a fragile tent with barely enough to survive. This morning, gunfire struck our shelter.
By a miracle, no one was physically harmed, but the emotional trauma is unbearable.
My children picked up the bullets from the ground... and asked me, “Mom, are we going to die too?”
I took these photos just minutes later, not to shock you, but to show you the heartbreaking reality we’re living.
Amal is a pregnant mother, who’s currently displaced in Gaza. Previously, she used to run a campaign to support her family’s basic needs until GFM shut it down. For that, her and her sister launched a Chuffed campaign to ensure that donations reach both families safely and reliably. The funds from this campaign aim to:
- Help the families evacuate from Gaza
- Find a safe place to live
- Provide food and medical care for the kids
- Help them heal from this terrifying experience
Please support Amal’s family by donating and sharing. Help this fundraiser gain traction as it barely raised ~$100 so far.
Hello friends, I'm Sahar! Lia & I are friends of the Ashours & Shehabs, and we'll be helping them run this campaign. Both families have had
The bombing is intense, and towers and buildings are being completely destroyed. All we have left is your help and donations. We may have to flee again these days, as the occupation is bombing us violently. Help us and donate during this time. Help us and donate, please.
Guys, my sister Shehab @danashehab family and I are facing imminent and brutal danger from the Zionist occupation's warplanes. They are intensively bombing all the buildings, as everyone saw yesterday, including the Al-Sousi Tower and the Mashtaha Tower. Now they are threatening to demolish the tower next to our tent, and we don't have the money to move. Donate, participate, and help us, we desperately need you.🙏🏼
Funds needed to support newborn baby!
Hello friends, I'm Sahar! Lia & I are friends of the Ashours & Shehabs, and we'll be helping them run this campaign. Both families have had
I'd like to ask you guys to give some support to the shared campaign of @amal-ashour-new and @danashehab's families. Amal recently gave birth to her baby, and as we approach the new year I would love to see if we could help her make sure her baby is as safe and comfortable as possible through the winter.
But of course, it's not just the baby. This fundraiser supports the food/medical/shelter needs of a dozen people. Please consider making a donation if you can - small amounts will add up and make a meaningful difference in these people's quality of life.
as the year ends, I want to thank all of you once more for the care and support you've shown to my friend Amal ( @amal-ashour-new ), her brother-in-law Fahed ( @fahedshehab-new, @danashehab ), and the rest of their family as they work to survive and rebuild after enduring more than two years of genocide. more than anything, the contributions of people like you bring the Ashour and Shehab families hope amid the ongoing circumstances of deprivation and hardship they face every day. I inexpressibly grateful to each of you who have pitched in with your funds, time, energy, and resources to help Amal and her loved ones; you have truly made a difference.
unfortunately, the future is still precarious. Amal has a newborn daughter, Mina, to care for amid the harsh winter cold, her husband Mo'tasem is injured and in pain, and 12 people in total are depending on the campaign for survival.
Amal's current hope is to rent a house for the winter to protect Mina as much as possible from the threat of exposure. although the family was able to successfully persuade their prospective landlord to lower the monthly rent from $1,500 to $1,300 USD, he is asking for three months' rent in advance, which means that in order to secure stable shelter for herself and her family for the next three months, Amal needs to raise about $4,000 USD.
this is a large amount to raise, but with your help, I know it's possible. you've stood by Amal for a long time—please don't forget her now, when she needs our solidarity more than ever. if you don't seek it out, you may not be encountering as much news about Gaza as you were this time last year, but conditions are only worsening and growing more unlivable. it is of dire necessity that Amal and her family raise the funds they need to get through this winter: at this point, it is survival, Mina's and everyone else's, that is on the line.
if you are reaching the end of this year with funds to spare, please consider contributing a dollar or two to the Ashour and Shehab families' campaign and helping to keep 12+ people warm and fed! no effort, monetary or otherwise, is insignificant in reaching this goal.

amal @amal-ashour-new is going into labor within the next couple of days. she is in a lot of pain. her husband is still injured. the least we can do for her is ease the worry of financial insecurity while she's in the hospital. she's going through a lot at the moment. she needs baby clothes and diapers, at the very minimum. please let's do something for her! fundraiser - proof
Guys, I'm about to give birth and I need your support. Is it possible that my baby will arrive without a place to live, a mattress to protect him, a blanket to keep him warm, or clothes to cover him? Please help me, I desperately need your help. 🙏❤️
Every donation makes a real difference in our lives.
"Amal is about to give birth any moment, and we still have no shelter at all. We’re running out of time. Please—if you’re able to donate anything, we desperately need your help to secure a safe place before the baby arrives. Your support right now could be the only thing protecting this newborn."
Please, share and donate! Help Amal get the safe shelter and baby supplies she needs!
Please continue to support both Amal's Family and the Shehab Family! They both had to start over their campaigns and desperately need donations to survive 🙏🏽

Thank you to everyone who continues to stand with my family. Your support truly keeps us going.
Right now, our most urgent need is renting an apartment for the winter. With a newborn baby, Mina, and freezing conditions, secure shelter is not optional—it is essential for survival. The landlord requires three months’ rent in advance, and meeting this cost is our only chance to protect Mina and the rest of our family.
Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to warmth, safety, and dignity. Thank you for standing with the Ashour and Shehab families when it matters most. 🤍

Now that I have your attention, @danashehab and her family still need help, especially with the floods and harsh weather in Gaza. The fundraiser is here along with vetting information here
I know lots of people are short on cash rn, but if you can donate - even if just a dollar - please do so. If not, please share.
In Gaza, the New Year doesn't bring joy or fireworks.
We stay up all night, not counting down to midnight, but praying that the rain won't flood our tents again, and praying that our children will sleep peacefully.
While the world celebrates, we are simply trying to survive.
Thank you for remembering us, and for using this moment to speak out about our suffering. Even sharing, even a small donation, means hope to us.
Hope everyone is weathering this liminal space that is new year's eve ✨
As we step into the many unknowns of this coming year, so do 2 million people under total siege in Gaza. I wanted to remind you that you can still help alleviate the situation of many displaced families by donating to mutual aid groups in Gaza, especially now as Israel placed a ban on multiple humanitarian aid groups like Doctors Without Borders from working in Gaza starting tomorrow, January 1.
You can also donate directly to families fundraising from Gaza like my friend Amal's campaign, with donations aimed at keeping her toddler and 1 month old baby warm this winter. Any amount donated is highly appreciated and nothing is too little, especially as we do this as a collective.
I really, truly hope that 2026 brings justice, the kind fuelled by radical hope and resistance ❤️
While the world waits for midnight, we count the nights of cold, hunger, and struggle for survival. Thank you for not forgetting my family during this difficult time. Every act of solidarity warms my family, keeps our child alive, and gives us hope.
May 2026 be the year when justice is finally served. ❤️
Hi everyone 🤍
I’ve been away lately because of my pregnancy and the birth of my baby girl. These days were heavy, emotional, and physically exhausting, and it wasn’t easy for me to be present or write.
I want to thank every single person from the bottom of my heart — those who supported me, donated, shared my posts, or even sent a kind message. Your support reached me at a time when I truly needed it, and it meant more to me than I can express.
I’m slowly coming back now, and I just wanted you to know that I’m deeply grateful to all of you, and I will never forget your kindness.
Thank you for your humanity. Thank you for standing by me 🤍

@tamarrud My love, my friend, and the person who helped me the most from the very beginning, from when no one stood by me, from when I had nowhere to live, I found you embracing me and helping me. You truly were sent by God to me. Thank you.❤️
@feluka Mina, words cannot describe what you have done for me and my daughter Maryam. Now you have stood by me again, and so I have decided to repay you for your kindness. I have named my daughter Mina after you and my cat. Thank you, Mina.
I still have no words to describe how emotional I felt learning baby Mina's name. You don't owe me anything but I am still moved beyond words. I love you and your beautiful family, Amal, and I have all the hope in my heart that we will see you through this difficult time.
Amal has had a rough past few months, and finally delivered a beautiful daughter thanks to your support.
But Amal is still worn from her C-section and her baby is vulnerable to the weather conditions. Cold is extremely dangerous to newborns. Amal's situation is difficult as she is sharing a tent with another family.
If we could keep this ball rolling, we could get Amal to rent an apartment, at least until next February, as the cold should subside by then. Please keep donating if you can and sharing if you can't.
Amal has just given birth after months of suffering, and she’s still recovering from surgery while her newborn faces the cold in a shared tent. This is urgent. Please donate if you can, and share if you can’t—this baby needs warmth and safety now.
Thank you so much for your kind words, Amal, i was so happy to meet and speak to all the lovely members of your family ❤️ i hope we will get to chat again under better circumstances one day.
To everyone else, please donate any amount you can to this fundraiser 🙏 Amal and baby Mina need this support now more than ever.
Please continue providing support if you can!! Baby Mina along with the rest of the family need all the help they can get, especially as weather conditions worsen.
guys ، I still need your support, and I cannot continue without you. The situation is extremely difficult, and the rain and cold are making our suffering even worse. We desperately need your donations so we can buy a new tent to protect us from the rain, and blankets and winter clothes to help us endure the bitter cold.
Any support, no matter how small, makes a huge difference in our lives. Please don't stop supporting us, and let's continue together, because we have no one else to turn to.
Thank you to everyone who donated and helped us ❤️
We are very close to the first target. We are now at 6164 and only a few steps remain 3836 Until we reach $10,000 ❤️. Please donate and share

With the New Year coming, I hope everyone keeps the Shehab family (@danashehab ) the and Ashour ( @amal-ashour-new ) family in their hearts and thoughts, and continue to support them through recovering and surviving through this genocide. However, they still need our help as the Ashour family has had a new daughter, Mina, and are trying to protect and raise her from the terrible weather conditions in Gaza right now, while Amal’s husband is still injured.
In order to find more stability in a house for rent, they will need $4,000 USD for 3 months rent in advance as soon as possible. So please, if you’re able, consider donating to support their family of 12+, and share this around. If everyone is able to pitch in just a little bit, the goal could be made, and it would give them a lot of hope and give them a better chance at survival as conditions worsen. Every bit counts, and please keep the Ashour and Sheehan families in your thoughts and hearts going into the new year ❤️
Thank you to everyone who has shared, donated, helped or given them kind words. A little goes a long way for spreading hope for the future. I hope the new year brings peace and justice for these families and everyone who needs the support.

As the new year begins, our biggest wish is something simple: a safe roof for baby Mina. She was born into genocide, cold weather, and displacement — and the cost of rent in Gaza has become unbearably high. Securing a home for her is not comfort, it’s survival. Your support helps us keep her warm, safe, and alive. Thank you for standing with Mina. 🤍
It's baby Mina's first new year!
She is not yet a month old and the weather in Gaza is endangering her. (yes, even in warmer climates, the winter is an extremely vulnerable period for newborns.)
Her mother, Amal (@amal-ashour-new), and Amal's other daughter, Mariam, are also struggling in their cold tent, unable to rent an apartment.
Amal and her family mean the world to me. If you're feeling generous, please donate to their fundraiser, which benefits both the Ashour and Shehab families.

Baby Mina turned one in a world of cold, fear, and uncertainty.
She should have been warm and safe, not battling the bitter winter cold in a tent.
Mariam, baby Mina, and I are doing everything we can to survive in conditions no family should ever have to face.
If you can help, please donate. Sometimes a donation is the difference between a freezing night and a warm one, between fear and hope.
Little Mina, the baby, sends you all her love and appreciation and tells you that thanks to your support, we were able to buy her winter clothes and enough milk to last her a whole month. ❤️
