Change of Colour
She kept grimacing every single time she turned around. Everywhere she looked that walls were the same bland surgical white. The cafeteria was white, the commons was white, the infirmary was white, the halls, bedrooms, training rooms and everything but Da Vinci’s office was white.
“We can change the scenery for you dear master, I’m sure the other would appreciate some colour as well.” Da Vinci hummed from across the room and Reese silently glared at the genius in return. “Oh come now master, that’s why you come in here no? A change of colour?”
Reese sighed and nodded her head, now only if the migraine beating away at her left temple would disappear from existence, that would be nice.
“Perhaps Rome would be good, or oh! I know-”
“Where in the world would we find enough paint for Chaldea?”
“Oh who ever said anything about paint? Fabric my dear master, fabric! You like purple right?” But before Reese could open her mouth again, Da Vinci had already turned away and was bustling about muttering about ‘fabrics’ and ‘colours’ underneath her breath. Reese lowered her forehead back to her knees, at least she wouldn’t have to worry about getting migraines from the walls anymore.
