Do you think it's possible that Whiteout could change the outcome. Like maybe in some distant timeline or au. I think it's possible, it wouldn't be easy but it would definitely be possible. Cause with your characterization of whiteout feels like she already knows how everything is gonna end and she just kinda along for the ride (nothing is wrong with that it's actually pretty interesting) but I can't help but wonder watch would change if she actually tried to exercise agency and push back more against "fate" or what other dragons want her to do/be.

Or maybe at the very least being able to live a full life despite the events that took place in her life. Not that she's completely moved on from all things and trauma that happened to like it doesn't even affect her anymore but more like her being able to be happy despite all the things that happened to her. It would probably take a while but I think it's possible.

I think it's possible at least but even I will admit I am biased towards having a happier/positive/or even bittersweet conclusion.

i mean the story already happened so she cant change that. and i do believe she one day will know peace, but she has long way to that. until then she will remain unhappy for a while.

also im not sure if whiteout knew from the start.. but there is a point in the story where you can tell she knows its over. or perhaps she always knew, but took a while to reach a point where she lost any optimism she had...

making alternative scenarios is fun but it does feel like you are defeating the purpouse of the story. (again, i say as someone who likes to make them because theyre fun...) legends darkstalker is a tragedy in the first place. the pain comes from the fact that its a prequel, so the events are already set in stone.

but what we also know, is that some of the characters did get to live happy lives after. and as i said, i think one day whiteout will get there. but it will be a while.

also answering to it feels awkward because when i wrote it i was mostly thinking about whiteout during the story events, not after. this could also be about (how i imagine it atleast) how whiteout was for some time post canon, but this is before.
