Yves Saint Laurent A/W 16
Dress Absentia of my fashion show :) Inspired by Art Nouveau fashion, historical mourning clothing, ghosts, and death. Soft fanric with classic pattern, attache stretch voile veil. Decorated with lots of lace and trim and an elastic broad belt with appliquee. At the fashion show it had a veil with it, for more pictures of the show, see (links at ): www.somniaromantica.com ^^
These 5 beauties are on display and for sale through Giant Robot right now. It feels nice to show them all together, like they’re supposed to be :) check out http://www.giantrobot.com/collections/gallery-store/kelsey-beckett if you’re interested in taking one home!
Evening Ensemble
Arnold Scaasi
1958
Arnold Scaasi is best known for his evening wear designs, worn by a long list of celebrity clients primarily during the 1960s through the 1980s. Scaasi’s work incorporates lavish surface decoration, often in the form of floral trimming, bright colors and full silhouettes that extend the proportions of the body. Scaasi creations are rarely easy to ignore; their ostentatious quality has become a signature of the designer’s work.
Dress
Boué sœurs
1923
Dress in pastel pink and pale grey displaying the colour sense and use of lightweight materials that typified Boué Sœurs designs. Colour tone and form are reminiscent of 18th century court dress. This example features front edges of the bodice turned back to reveal a pale grey front panel embroidered with small flower motifs, much like a decorative stomacher, and a partial overskirt with substantial gathering at the sides that adds volume. The aim is to create an effect like that of a petticoat visible underneath a robe. The silk ribbon rosette embellishments are icons of the Boué Sœurs brand.
Put together this quick Little Prince coordinate for the Lief Tea Party. I thought this jacket was going to be too Christmas-y to coord for anything, but it’s actually a nice dusty green and dark bordeaux. I love it! Charlotte and I handmade our outfits for the French Cafe Garden Party in Le Manoir de l’Île aux Loups. It was a magical day and was amazing to wear nearly 3 months of hard work and feel like princes!

5 Watercolor Texture Tricks - Full TutorialÂ
Newest handmade dress!
I have this obsession for pastel blue and pink combination on dresses especially if they have some rococo style, so I thought this design could be perfect, and it was!
I have a lot of pain making this dress, I mean physical pain xD my back and neck hurts a lot because it took me way too much time, (10 hours in a row) but it worth it!
I love this one ;u;
Dolce & Gabbana F/W 2016
More jacket progress! It hasn’t been coming along as quickly as I would like, but at least the end is now in sight!Â
I made the collar, lined the lapels, and got the soutache design stitched onto both. I added the closure detailing to the front and hooks/bars. Now all it needs are the decorative buttons.
And I still have to hem it and sew in the lining, but that should be easy. The tough part will be drafting the sleeves and trying to cut them from the scraps of fabric I have left. I’m not looking forward to that…
