Ainsley: it's hard to figure out how people are gonna react to stuff like this, i get that. maybe it's too optimistic of me but i'd say go ahead and do it, because your parents should always love you regardless. sexuality doesn't change that

Lindsey: Yeah, I know. I just have a hard time picturing myself in a situation when you constantly get mentally and psychically abused on a regular basis. Yaaay, that's the right choice! You do whatever feels right for you, get out from that crowded place and be rainbow as fuck! And your sister will have one awesome sister to look up to.

Lindsey: I literally cringe everytime I see someone drink that god awful drink. Like the sugar rush must be horrible and the headache they must be getting, damn! Oh hopefully you won't!

Reggie: Oh me too. I can't imagine ever being in that. I don't think its something you can ever really like know what its like until you're in it. I'm excited for this, just so nervous too. It'll be so strange to be out. Even if things go to shit though, I at least won't have to hide anymore. Oh gosh, I hardly think she'd end up looking up to me. As long as I don't lose her, I couldn't care less though.

Reggie: I've watched those youtube vids of people trying those things and you can literally see the sugar rush starting like minutes after they drink them. I can't even imagine the kind of crash something like that has. And I hope you never have to see mine! I mostly get dicky to people that annoy me though, so I doubt you ever will!

Lindsey: I think that saying fits my mother so perfectly. Because that woman is so strong it always blows me away. Like how could she rise up after being beaten down for so long? I think you need to focus on yourself, be a little selfish. Being selfish from time to time can be a good thing. Especially when it comes to who you are as a person and your own happiness. Then show her. Show her that you are strong and not scared, that you are proud!

Lindsey: Okay good good! Hmm, those tastes like utter shit if you ask me. I am too much of a plain coffee person to ever try those sugary drinks again. Oh like I said; I am sweet when I feel like the person deserves it.

Reggie: She had people that were important to her, that gave her something to fight for. At least thats what I think it is? You were probably a huge factor in her being able to fight through it. Then I'm going to do it. I want to be able to be proud of myself and of who I date and I want my sister to know I'll love her no matter who she ends up loving.

Reggie: Oh, I'm sure they do. Anything with that much sugar normally does. It's more of a morbid curiosity than an actual compulsion to drink one for enjoyment. Well hopefully I never have to see any other side from you!

Ainsley: i mean, that totally depends on you, dude. when i wanted to come out to my parents i deadass researched the best time to do it-- they literally asked me about it the next day.

Ainsley: what do you feel like you should do?

Ainsley: i offer my place as sanctuary if shit hits the fan. if you can handle my dumbass brother you'll be fine.

Reggie: i want them to know more than anything, to just be able to be myself around them and for them to love me for who i am. i'm just scared that the won't do that...and they'll end up keeping me away from my sister if i do.

Reggie: Just y'know not in a positive light or anything. My dad thinks they want too much out of the government by wanting to get married and stuff.

Jack: good idea. I came out to my brother first too, both times. He was totally supportive that I was gay, but the whole non-binary thing confused him a little. He was, and still is, the biggest support system in my life.

Jack: remember this though; my parents did not accept me. Well, my mum tries, but it's hard for her. My father absolutely did not. It's hard, it sucks, but life goes on. It's not something you can change.

Reggie: i think my brother will be pretty understanding about it too. i'm glad your brother was so supportive though, i'm sure it helps having him there.

Reggie: i guess i just need to start better preparing myself for that possibility. its just hard thinking of life with them disappointed in me y'know? thank you for your help though.

Lindsey: It made me stronger so even if it's horrible, it made me who I am today. It's good that you have someone you want to protect though, is that also why you are scared of coming out?

Lindsey: Now we're talking! But of course, what was I even thinking? No I don't, which means I can be nice which is good I guess. I just don't want people to think they can take advantage of that.

Reggie: Well its like Nietzsche said right? 'That which does not kill us makes us stronger.' Sometimes it takes hard times to make us who we are. And maybe that's what it'll take for me too. Yeah, she's the big reason. I just want her to know that its okay being herself too. It may just be a bit hypocritical to not show her that myself though.

Lindsey: My father was abusive towards me and my family so me coming out just gave my mother even more reason to divorce him. She had gotten the papers one month before I came out so the timing was perfect from my end. Yeah me and my mom are like close and stuff, if someone hurts her I will end their miserable little life. Reggie: That sounds so terrible. I'm sorry any of that happened to you, no one deserves that. I feel that, that's how I feel about my little sister. I will, I promise!

Lindsey: Being conflicted is normal. When I came out, I literally ran out from the closet because I couldn't stand being in that small space anymore. I needed to be free, to be loud and proud of being who I am. My father hated the fact that I am gay so what did my mother do? Divorce him. Because in her eyes, being gay is not bad. It's good. And putting your own happiness before someone elses is also good. And hey, don't sweat it.

Lindsey: Why thank you. Let us hope some real hottie comes into my life then! I just want people to be happy with who they are, so you're welcome :)

Reggie: The funny thing is I feel my situation would be the exact opposite. I'm pretty sure my dad would be a lot more okay with it than my mom. He's so passive though he'd just side with her anyway. I'm glad your mom was so understanding for you though! That's awesome. I just want to be happy. So...I think I know what I'm going to do.

Reggie: Well I don't know about a hottie but I think the least I can do for your help is buy you a coffee. If you want to at least? Well you're the best kind of person! Too many other people nowadays are too focused on tearing other people down.
