But I've noticed they really made the Emperor a neutral party rather than an enemy which I don't love. And that kind of takes away from what I feel was a core plot of the novel?

I just deeply dislike what xiao changqing in this drama.

Like we didn't see them say bye or anything to Zhou Kangan? We didn't really get to see them settle in to their new lives or like them as just a couple?

I feel like they earned their happy ending and I wanted to properly see it.

Wow they really made sure to make the conclusion of the crime plot in love for you a million more times dramatic than the novel

What is more romantic than someone saying you can always be yourself with them, especially when you have to pretend in front of everyone else?
