character biography ( at least two paragraphs ) —
Regina grew up in Amythest Arbors, born to a wealthy couple that many people whispered about and revered. Regina was given whatever her little hands reached for except what she desired most of all. The affection and love of her parents. Each birthday they gave her a heart: A heart shaped blanket, a glass heart decoration, a heart dress, any heart except their own.
The Nannie’s under their employ were given very specific instructions. Keep her , focused, and perfectly presentable all so that she would be eventually ready to enter polite society.
Regina didn’t mind the Nanny’s . They were all different in how they went about caring for her but they had one thing in common. They were all certain there was something off in the home.. with Regina parents but they were paid well and feared repercussions so they stayed quiet. She barely saw her parents during the day but their expectations and presence was heavily felt in the home. She attended her academic lessons in the early morning and practiced her pre approved hobbies in the afternoon which included croquet, painting and having pretend tea parties which all her stuffed animals (especially stuffed kitty) including the nanny of the day, were invited too. She quickly learned that no amount of wins, moments pride, achievement would ever be acknowledged by her parents. After a while.. her little heart could no longer take it. If good deeds didn’t get their attention perhaps outbursts would.
Her breaking point came when a red rose painting received nothing but a half nod and a comment from her mother that the roses “could look better a shade darker”. Regina lost it. Her heart overwhelmed by the sting of belittlement and rejection had cracked in two. She ripped her paintings to shreds and let out a loud cry. It echoed through the halls and the clatter of paint and brushes hitting the marbled floor rang out.
As Regina continued to grow up
Her tantrums matured with her . They just changed form . Her “tantrums” were a lot more cunning, secretive and malicious. She couldn’t say exactly when her heart and mind had hardened and grew callous losing its warmth but she didn’t regret it either. It kept her safe after the numerous rejections. She had learned how to wrap people around her finger quite well and still by the end of it she still looked pretty and her hands looked clean. What’s a bit of gossip or blackmail if it gets her what she wants and fills that insatiable hunger inside her ?
Now a member of the polite society, Regina is both admired and feared she couldn’t say for sure which she preferred. This was now her chance to make her own reputation. Her very own mark. She would do it the only way she knew how. If people didn’t like her methods well.. that was their own problem.

Regina watched the party come together. It was perfect. A vision so nicely staged you would believe it could be for royalty. It wasn’t for her. Although, she would certainly celebrate as if it was. It was being thrown for a “friend” of hers. A friend who she found out had spread a nasty rumor about her. Regina plastered on a fake winning smile greeting her “friend” when she entered the room. Fake glimmering snowflakes of all sizes hung in the air. Her friend did love the winter wonderland look. And Regina , the ever kind and generous person she was ,spared no expense. There were gift bags for guests, Crystal cups and blue cupcakes decorated with edible pearls. Best of all, The birthday girl wore a dress Regina had insisted she take. A stolen dress. It belonged to a mutual friend. Regina didn’t steal it herself of course, her hands were far to clean for that. A lady would never, but she may have paid someone to so she could “frame” the girl . It was a beautiful dress. It shimmered like snow under the lights. A dazzling silver and blue that clung to her frame. It wasn’t cheap. And you likely couldn’t find another like it. Regina took a sip of her drink and paused with a smirk waiting.. and there it was.
“Hey! What are you doing in my dress?! I’ve been looking everywhere for it.” One of the women shrieked. The room suddenly hushed. The music stopped and A suffocating tension filled the space. “Oh Elise.. “ Regina murmured with mock concern. “What did you do?” She arched an eyebrow studying Elise’s flushed face under the chandelier lights. The noise of whispered confusion faded around her turning into a low hum as the woman accusing Elise continued to shout and Elise stammered and protested her innocence. The whole thing was in its own way.. a present of her very own. It didn’t need a ribbon or a bow. It filled her with a joy she hadn’t felt in some time and a tingle of excitement in her fingertips. She barely quivered or even blinked when Elise turned to point at her desperately insisting it was Regina who gave it to her in the first place. Regina didn’t open her mouth. She didn’t need too. She simply put a hand on her chest. Her eyes now deep pools of hurt. The other party guests jumped to her defense. They exclaimed that made no sense. Regina went through so much effort to plan the perfect party. Regina snickered inside and leaned onto her male friend’s side for comfort watching her “friend”s moment of honor collapse on itself.

Connections
• prince hans → he understands you, he always have. you don't have to hide parts of yourself around him because he possess those same malicious parts as you. it feels nice to be seen in that way and it's because of this that you can't help but cling to him. maybe a little too hard sometimes. though he seems to enjoy all the attention you're willing to give him
• jasmine → you learned when you were still but a child that it's entirely possible to keep friends that you hate. in fact, sometimes those were the ones you need to keep closest to you. she was one of them. it wasn't that you hated her, but there was plenty of resentment on your end to make someone second guess your intentions. she's perfect as far as you're concerned and seems to have it all, and yet she still seems unhappy. your loathing over it grows with each day
• babette → it's not that you're jealous of her husband, far from it, you actually feel glad you dodged that bullet. but that doesn't stop you for disliking her over the opportunity you feel she stole from you. it would have been nice to have gotten that big shiny diamond ring instead, but that just wasn't how it worked out for you. and now she's flits around your circles, without fear of rocking the boat like so many other high society ladies, you just don't think its fair
• naveen → you have memories of time spent outside the valley, however fleeting they might be, and he's in those memories. you had a lovely time spent abroad and you've so long to get back out there, but every time you've tried things just never seemed to work out. but you did your best to keep in touch upon your return to the valley, and your letters proved to be even more persuasive than you thought as he seems to have finally come to town
