Swan princess Emma x vampire Regina is canon to me

The outfits I think of them in when I was making this. Definitely not modern era.

emma doesn’t have a heavy winter coat. she’s got three leather jackets; red, blue, and black. she’s got flannels and long-sleeves, even a few hoodies. the few cardigans / knit-sweaters she has are from mary margaret’s closet when they were rooming together, and then eventually snow started buying all these clothes for her after the curse broke because she never had the chance to dress emma up. emma will not wear the floral blouses, but she does secretly like the cashmere sweater and the soft white knit sweater. regina likes it too. almost too much.

when it hits fall/winter, the entire storybrooke police department gets a set of snow gear, which does include a heavier coat. but emma’s first real heavy winter coat is something that regina picks out. it’s just for her. it’s black, no feathers, soft, a little puffy but movable, not scratchy or fleece-y, something that keeps emma warm and feels like a hug for when she’s stuck on late shifts and misses regina. regina doesn’t want to change emma’s style — no matter how much she may tease, she fell in love with emma because she is emma. but she wants emma to have the very best of everything, and she takes great pride in providing for her and henry. emma never had anyone provide for her before, so it’s nice that regina cares so much about her body temperature.

(sometimes, on days that regina knows emma is struggling to get out of bed and go to work, she sprays a tiny bit of her own perfume on the collar of emma’s coat, just so that emma can have a little reminder of her during the day. and she sticks little love notes in the pockets.)
