     ”Well excuse me for not being able to understand wanting to waste countless hours trying to find a way to get my hands on a boyfriend.” That hadn’t come out right. “Or a mate of any sort.” Rei really didn’t realize how strange he sounded, using the word ‘mate’ in reference to a boyfriend or girlfriend. But he couldn’t say he cared all to much about his not understanding the ‘pureness of a girl’s heart’, not really understanding all to much of anything when it came to girls. “And with the way Gou talks I wouldn’t say she has an ‘innocent heart’.”

"Oh... Well! Whatever gender you end up with, we'll support you!" Nagisa was a very open-minded person, so whatever floated Rei's boat, he'd be on board! He didn't mind the oddity of the whole 'mate' thing though, having become accustomed to Rei's speech pattern. It tended to be different than Makoto's or Haruka's, so he didn't argue.

"Nah, sure she does! Everyone has an innocent heart even if they don't seem like it, Rei-chan!  Unless you've gone and done everything possible, but that's not true, so she's innocent, you're innocent, I'm innocent, we're all innocent!" In different ways of course.

"If you haven’t noticed, it hasn’t snowed in months," she pointed out, her hands mimicking his movements. "But I think that would be nice… Though Haruka-senpai wouldn’t be too happy."

"I was talking about in general, Gou-chan!" It was summer after all. Even Nagisa noticed that. "Oh, but I agree. Haru-chan would probably just stare at the ocean all the time. I think he did that last winter too."

"Summer's nice 'cause we get to swim, but I think I like winter since it's snowing." His grin widens, hands moving as if imitating making a snowman. "There's snowmen! Snowball fights! And a warm kotatsu too!"

      “People study for that sort of thing?” He clearly had no idea how teenage girls were. “I really don’t think reading through some sort of book is going to help her get a boyfriend.” This coming from the boy who read books on nearly everything. “I’d think she’d be more than capable of getting a companion on her own, with out the help of some ridiculous book.”

"Rei-chan, you just don't understand the pureness of a girl's heart!" Odd how he'd be preaching about this, but with three elder sisters, a boy could learn. "When you're a girl and young, you fantasize about things like that, and all the things that can help you get a boyfriend is what you want to get your hands on!" He pauses, arms crossing as he tilts his head. "I agree, but since this is Gou-chan, she'd probably have a test for like... Muscles or something."

"Gou-chan's probably studying up so she could get a boyfriend! You know how teenage girls are! My sisters were really into that sorta thing when they were our age, so I'm sure she's like that too!"

"There's a lotta things you can get off the internet, Rei-chan!"

          With the roll of her eyes and a stern look accompanying it soon after, she wasn’t about to let Nagisa wiggle his way out of math. No matter how much he flexes at her. She was going to be strong and not allow his amazing calve muscles to sway her.  Even if they truly were a thing of beauty… “You can’t fool around, okay? If you don’t focus, I’m not going to help you anymore.”

"Now, now, you say that like I actually was going to fool around!" Well, there goes that plan. Nagisa took his studies seriously, honest! He just... Wasn't too good at concentrating is all. He'd get stuck on something and then look away for a second but then that second turned into an hour. Woops. "I promise I'll pay attention, Gou-sensei!"
