➥ This is the first summer Regine doesn’t immediately go into working for her father’s company, I very much imagine the bitch does some traveling for awhile and spends time with her girlfriend.

➥ After graduation Regine works for her father training to take over as CEO of Reign Tech,  having a home base in D.C. but frequently traveling to other R-Tech locations. She does this for all of her twenties and a good portion of her thirties while Satomi is doing assassin work, so they maintain a long distance relationship during this period. Considering Rei is a public figure and the face of a major company in the public eye, and Satomi is doing undercover assassin work, they also aren’t publicly together. Which just means meetups in other countries during work trips, and apartments everywhere, and secret dates, and mutual respect for the severity of each other’s work, and understanding...just soulmate things.

➥ If you want any of your characters to work in a department of R-Tech, feel free to pitch that to Regine. Though she doesn’t play favorites and everyone has to undergo the same interview process. There’s a world out there where Viktor is her right hand man / bodyguard and their brotp status is too powerful but Gen won’t let me have it in canon so in an au far far away I win.

➥ Becoming CEO was personally to prove she could do it, and after building the company and opening a new location Regine decides she doesn’t really need to be CEO. She doesn’t have anything more to prove, and quite frankly she realizes the weight time has on her relationships (things she never really cared about or considered). She decides to step down as CEO and instead work in the design department, which had always been her real passion, working on new tech products and tech weapon designs and database blueprints. Jess isn't online right now but let it be known Rei will fully fund anything Rizo asks her to, THURSDAY included, so that's that on that.

➥ Around this period she proposes to Satomi and they keep their engagement a secret, quickly having an incredibly intimate and private wedding on a cliff with a delicious view, and an eventual reception a while later with close friends and family, one is in China and one is in Japan. Their wedding consists of the pair, their officiant, and one guest of honor brought to location by a helicopter because they’re loaded. Rei asks Sam to be her best man. Yaidan gets a selfie of them with their rings in the besties group chat. Everyone else finds out half way through the ceremony, Rei clinking her drink with a blade, clearing her throat, and the lesbians sharing the news to their guests.

➥ Reitomi don’t have any children because it’s not the wave for them.

➥ I imagine by the time Regine is older her knife collection is expansive, and she'll be one of those people who has a museum set up out of one of her old homes like The Morgan that's filled with vintage knives, swords, and bow & arrow sets.

“I came here with Kiki,” Sam smiles, before she can even get a word in. “Don’t her angel wings look so cool? Look— she made me match!” He turns at a ninety degrees, showing off the back of his jacket so Rei could see the little feathery wings sewn on. “Where’s Satomi? Can we get a group pic at some point? Oh, also, super quick question— if you like a girl, but you’re pretty sure she’s not over maybe two other people, you keep that to yourself, right?” Sam rattles off, slipping in that last thing and hoping Rei might choose to ignore it. “Anyway, they really got us Beyonce, huh?”

Rei’s open mouth closes from prematurely prepping to speak, Sam answering her almost question. They’re spending too much time together. “Kiki is cool.” She barely knows her. Normally seeing someone in angel wings would get an eye roll out of Rei, finding it ridiculous, but Sam pulls it off in that sweet, wholesome way he manages to get her to change her mind about most things. She merely half-smiles despite herself, won’t compliment him on them. “Yeah, sure.” Actually agreeing to group photos...what is Satomi putting in these drinks? “They’re playing bartender right now, but I know you’ll ask again later.” Her brows knit, can’t even reject his question before he asks it. “Wait, huh?” Rei doesn’t care about Beyoncé. “Kiki has a crush on two other people and she’s here with you?” Her voice is a little defensive on his behalf.

“Scary,” she jokes, making an exaggerated face, because usually drinking random drinks is not a bright idea. “Is there a…reason for that rule?” It sounds kind of dangerous, though Jas knows Satomi isn’t the type to ask anything crazy of Rei. Jas tentatively takes a sip, breaking out her amazing acting skills and reacting as if it’s acid. “Do they hate you or something?” She pauses before smiling into the cup and taking another sip. “It’s good! A little strong, though. I don’t know if I should drink the whole thing.”

“Don’t trust me?” Rei cocks an eyebrow, but the smirk on her lips shows she thinks that’s a fair judgment. “It’s their last big night here, I just...” Rei shrugs, not enjoying being sentimental on main. “want them to have the best night they can so, whatever they want.” *Phoebe Bridgers vc* whatever she wants x10. Rei chuckles at that because she appreciates that kind of humor. “No pressure, just needed to pawn it off. Having a good night?”

“Why, do I look lonely?” She asks innocently, blinking a few times for emphasis. “Actually, I came with your roommate, did you come with my roommate?” Ingrid dares to dream at all times.

“Loneliness is a choice, and I don’t think you’d choose that.” She says with a hint of sarcasm, though she’ll argue in favor of this theory given how much time she can spend alone and not crave company. Honestly, Rei isn’t expecting that answer, since the last time they spoke about Soren Ingrid was just revealing her crush. It shows on her face. “How did that play out?” She’s hoping it wasn’t in her bedroom. “Which roommate?” She smirks, they both know the answer to that.

Rei shrugs, Yara’s not wrong. “Sai would’ve been better. More on brand.” Thanks Rowan for this one. Also not them debating ship names. “...What does that make you and Aidan? Aidara?”

“Okay, Viktor. Sip your drink.” Rei almost regrets asking, because that’s the cheesiest thing she’s ever heard, and yet she can’t wipe the smirk off her face that she drowns in scotch. He’s pointing Miray out but Rei’s looking the other way, trying to find her girlfriend in the crowd. She turns back just in time to catch who he’s staring at, and she’s quiet for a moment too. “Hm.” She can’t really fault him anymore, it’s Miray. “I asked a simple question.” She doesn’t think she’s probing. She has more questions but now she doesn’t want to ask so she takes another sip. She elbows him lightly, hand barely outstretching her glass to gesture to Satomi in the distance, concocting drinks for strangers. Now they’re just two bros, standing in silence, looking at the two most beautiful people in the room. Disgusting.

“no, but i might be willing to actually get drunk for once,” yara says, matching rei’s lifted brows with her own as she takes a pointed sip of her champagne. “then i can have an excuse for when i’m grumpy tomorrow while my mom takes a million pictures.” she’s full of shit as always, yara does anything her mother wants her to, aside from wear a dress to formal events. “i won’t, but if satomi keeps playing bartender you’re gonna have to take it up with them about how strong my drinks end up being.”

“Better keep my eyes peeled.” A wild drunk Yara appears and Rei’s gonna wanna be there to see it. She’s sporting a smirk, even her finding it difficult not to be in good spirits tonight, bittersweet as it is. Rei won’t dwell. “You’re excited.” Rei says casually, because despite Yara acting inconvenienced, Rei assumes she must be proud and at least a little glad to head out. “Maybe I’ll stop by. For your mom.” She jokes, as if she wasn’t already going to be there. “Rule of thumb for tonight is to not disagree with my girlfriend on anything. So, if you puke, so be it.” Cheers.
