Keep Running || Rei and Nagisa
Well, that would make sense. When Nagisa had been living in Zeta, his phone reception was lucky if it got more than one bar. Though in a time like this, he wasn’t suited to logical thinking like that, not that it was something he focused on a regular basis anyway.
“What matters is that we’re both okay and we’re in this together now! So everything is going to work out!”
Wishful thinking at it’s best. Nagisa didn’t want to admit that he actually was quite scared and wasn’t even sure what his survival rate was. But he knew that he was happy enough to spend this time with Rei, especially if it was going to be his last days alive.
As the other took his hand, he nodded, giving it a squeeze.
“You’re right. We should keep moving. Maybe we can find a big stick for you to use!”
Rei sighed as they maneuvered through the district, looking for people or things that might be used as weapons. They were making good pace and, all things considered, the constant groans and the slovenly speed of the Pariahs made them easy enough to avoid. The danger would pose when they have infected more people.
"I'm afraid my mastery of zombie survival theory is sub-par..." Rei mumbles, as if this was something anyone could fault the 16-year-old boy for.
--There's no way we're...there's no way I'm letting him die.
He squeezes Nagisa's hand again, to shake off the impending dread on both their minds. "Ah, yes!" he exclaims, to lighten the mood. "You know more of these situations than me! What with all the movies of this sort you've watched." he finishes with a laugh.
