Constantin Nepo, Walpurgis Night
Mi cuerpo no quiere levantarse, sino seguir durmiendo.

Bhagīratha praying to Lord Śiva
Kangrā Pahāri style, probably 18th Century
Lord Śiva drinking Halāhala
As the devas (demigods) and asuras churned the ocean for the nectar of immortality, it spewed out the deadly poison Halāhala. Devas and asuras started collapsing from its effect; they realised none but Lord Śiva could save the three worlds from the terrible poison. Upon being supplicated, Lord Śiva readily agreed to consume the deadly poison. The terrible poison stained the great Lord’s throat blue thereby earning him the epithet Nīlakaṅṭha.
