*Well… almost a book! A printed proof is en route, after which I’ll make tweaks and corrections ensuring the quality of the product. In the meanwhile, I am hosting a giveaway to celebrate its imminent publication!

Row 1: Print from Thistlearts. One of my favorite good omens artists out there it feels like. I actually had two more to show off but I decided not to because I'd have to censor them and I really seriously hate that. Such beautiful work. (Hungary based)

Row 2: very cute glitter flecked charms by Thatmightyheart. I'm sort of hit or miss when it comes to cute chibi style stuff, but these I love. Charms have a bit of doming rather than being complete flat. The backs of them are done in solid color rather than being double imaged, though you can see the image sort of from that side. Bright crisp lines and colors. (UK based)

Sticker by Anorhanono via gumroad. I liked it so much that I ordered a few more. Her stock seems to be limited (under 20) so if you want one of these I'd suggest that it's probably smart to order sooner rather than later. (UK based)

Row 3: Postcards By Pinn-n. I feel very fortunate to have gotten a hold of these as I am under the impression that they don't do much overseas sales. I don't have a link to a store for them but they are worth watching via tumblr and twitter.

Sticker set by Evercelle. This is the first time I've ever bought anything from them but I'm liking what I am seeing. They also have good omen themed sketchbooks for sale right now that are pretty cute. (Canada based)

Row 4-5: Prints and postcards from Naniiebim. The prints, aside from the one on the very bottom, came along with the two different zines that they put out. Worth every penny in my opinion. Let me just say for the record that I am very impressed with Naniiebim's stuff, particularly that bottom print. It has to be hands down the nicest print I've ever encountered. The paper is buttery, almost velveteen, so if you are sort of on the fence about that one let me just say it is entirely worth what is being asked for it.(UK based)

A5 Print Giveaway!

Through a bit of a misunderstanding, I have ended up with two different sized prints of the same piece of artwork by Thistlearts. Because I don’t have friends within the fandom largely, I have decided to do a giveaway for the smaller A5 (5.8 x 8.3 in.) sized version rather than have it sit around here. Please do note that this print shows gratuitous (read: glorious) amounts of angel bum and make sure this is something you actually want within your space.

Rules for the giveaway:

You need to be at least 18+

You need to live in the United States. I’m sorry to anyone who lives outside of the states who might want to join but can’t, I don’t want to deal with the customs or extra shipping at the moment.

You have to be willing to give me an email in which to get in touch with you, and if selected an address of some sort in which to send said print.

That’s it. Just submit your email here, and then at the end of February, I will draw an email using a number randomizer and get in touch with the person I’m sending it to for their mailing address. I will give the person one week to get in touch with me. I will notify publicly on my Tumblr when I do the drawing. In the instance that they fail to respond, I will draw a secondary email and move on from there.

Please be advised that once I have mailed the print off (if it is lost or mangled by the postal system) it is out of my hands and I will not be sending a replacement if something should happen to it. I am not the artist nor am I related to the artist in any way.

This is on the later end of things and I almost didn't post it at all but here we are.

Row 1: A pair of prints from Unicornempire. The paper quality of these prints are fair enough, nothing special, just regular semi-gloss paper. When I ordered them I half thought due to the look of them that they would be printed on a different paper type. This isn't a knock on them, just something to be aware of. The color saturation and the style of the prints themselves are very good. (US based)

Row 2: A charm (front and back) that I got from FoxEstacado. I love the artwork of this charm. I feel like it's something of a shame that the Aziraphale side is somewhat more obscured by the holographic effect. It looks better in real life than it photographs despite this, but I do wish people would skip this option for charms with different pictures on each side. I feel like there is a real lack of nonchibi style charms available on the market honestly so I was excited to get this one. (US based)

Stickers from Kuro-cchi. Small, but cute and the quality is reasonable for the price. (US based)

Row 3: A charm (only one side shown) by J Yang. I've bought a few things from this shop and the quality is consistently good across everything I've gotten. One side of this charm has a silver foil overlay to the artwork and one side is more plain. (Like 90% sure US based?)

A charm (front and back) that I got from ArtbyDins. Not real sure why Crowley's wings are white, and don't much care because it has Crowley in a suit. Only real complaint (and it isn't one honestly) is that Crowley and Aziraphale came each on one side and at the time there was only one available so I have to flop it back and forth now and again to see both. Seriously though, cute and Crowley in a suit. I focus on the important stuff. (Belgium based)

Row 4: The postcards which came with Ginger Haole's artbooks You Again and Praise (not shown here). They were printed double sided so I had to pick and choose which side to display in my print book. The art books themselves are beautiful, though I will admit to actually preferring the You Again book a bit more over Praise so far as overall amount of content. She is hands down one of my top favorite good omens artists, and everything that I have ever bought from her that was on-hand was shipped very promptly. I censored the one picture due to bits. I don't really know where the line is anymore on tumblr so best not to take chances. (US based)

Etsy is somehow being even worse, do not click etsy ads

Etsy is now forcing shop owners to be part of their ads. We can not opt out.

To anyone who buys from etsy: DO NOT EVER CLICK THEIR ADS

They are rolling out a program where if you get a sale from an ad they put out, they’re taking 12-15% of the profit(probably on top of the like, 5%ish+ they already take). Even worse, if you have clicked an Etsy ad in the last 30 days ANYONE YOU BUY FROM ON ETSY IN THAT PERIOD WILL BE BILLED THAT FEE. 

So please, if you see an ad for something you like off etsy, do not click it. Just go on etsy and search for it.

This is somehow worse than what storenvy used to pull. 

Please go directly through an artist or see if they have their own storefront (I use bigcartel) instead of purchasing off etsy. And if you must, just please, please, never click an etsy ad.

watching purity arguments transform online has been….wild. First it was “write what you want, but tag it so that people who are triggered or uncomfortable can avoid” which, reasonable enough. Then it was “You can only write bad stuff if you explain your trauma to the internet at large and spell out exactly why you like writing about that bad stuff. If you don’t know if you’re traumatized or aren’t sure why you’re attracted to certain fiction you’re evil.” Now apparently it’s “you’re evil for writing fucked up stuff. doesn’t matter if it’s to process trauma, doesn’t matter if you yourself are a survivor, there’s certain content that can’t be written and you’re a bad person if you write it.”

what the fuck, guys. Word replace extensions exist. Tags on ao3 exist. You know who else exists? Trauma survivors who write bad stories to safely dissect and process what happened to them. People who are afraid of bad things happening to them and who write them down happening in a fictional setting so that they aren’t carrying that fear around with them and so that they can practice the idea that you can be okay after something awful happens. People who like stuff that you don’t like and who respect your right to avoid that content. In return, please fucking respect creators enough not to say they’re evil because they write evil characters. Writing about a murder has never made anybody a murderer. This attitude about fiction isn’t helping anybody. In fact, it’s literally just teaching survivors that they can’t talk about what happened to them. I’ve known multiple people who needed to talk and process their trauma and were afraid to because of purity culture. Fuck that noise, write whatever, and tag appropriately.  And if you bully people for doing that? Fuck. Off. Do not follow me. Do not read my sweet, fluffy, innocent fics. Do not interact.

What’s been much wilder is having been part of the group in 2003 going “it would be nice if we made a habit of telling people if a fic is going to have, say, a violent rape in it so it doesn’t come as a really harmful shock. You know, like how on TV they say ‘this program contains material that may be disturbing to some viewers’. That would be great and allow those of us with, for instance, PTSD to participate in fandom at a lower personal cost.”

…..and then watching shit get to the kind of bullshit OP ACCURATELY describes. Which like: is still bullshit.

It’s polite and decent to either put appropriate notes on your stuff or use a blanket “caveat lector” (of which “choose not to warn” is an example) to allow others to curate their experience. And that’s where that one ends.
