#pokeaniweek is here to celebrate the anime’s 20th anniversary! Thanks to people in the fandom voting, the final prompts have been decided.
Rules for participation can be found here. The prompts for each day are:
Day 1 – April 1st – Favorite Saga
Day 2 – April 2nd – Favorite Character
Day 3 – April 3rd – Favorite Traveling Companion*
Day 4 – April 4th – Favorite Rival*
Day 5 – April 5th – Favorite Relationship
Day 6 – April 6th – Favorite Movie
Day 7 – April 7th – Free Day*
The asterisk (*) means there is a multiple choice. Some people are worried that the third or fourth day might overlap with their answer for day two, “favorite character”, hence why there will be substitutes for those whose, for instance, favorite rival is also their favorite character so that they will be able to participate daily if they wish to. The substitutes are:
Day 3 – April 3rd – Favorite Pokemon owned by Ash
Day 4 – April 4th – Favorite Theme Song (OP or ED, JP or ENG, doesn’t matter!)
If your favorite character isn’t a traveling companion or rival, you can still make content for the substitutes instead.
Day 7 is a FREE DAY, meaning you can create any content related to the Pokemon anime. If you wish, you can create content for the prompts that didn’t make the final 7 which you can find here.
As a side note, please make sure that your entries for each day have #pokeaniweek within the first five tags, this is very important as the event tag is tracked and if the tag isn’t within the first five, I will be unable to find it. They’re cute choices! But the anime usually gives the companions new Pokemon of the specific region (Alola in this case) for advertisement purposes, except Citron’s Luxray I guess, or the starters of the remake they wish to commercialize (Haruka’s Squirtle and Bulbasaur when FRLG came out, Hikari’s Cyndaquil for HGSS and while Serena didn’t get a Hoenn starter, she did go to Hoenn by herself.)
My bets are on Alolan Pokemon but I’m unsure about the Sinnoh starters (if Sinnoh gets remade this gen) since neither Chimchar or Turtwig would suit her, and Piplup is way too associated with Hikari to probably ever be owned by a main character again.
Hopes are high though!
What team would you give Lillie? Would Nebby be part of it?
Not sure on the team! It seems like she could prefer cute and fluffy Pokemon and so Shiron is the perfect starter for her. She could get a Cleffa or Clefairy, to match Lusamine’s Clefable. I think Stufful would be cute too, but since Team Rocket “have” that Bewear, I don’t think she’ll get one. Cutiefly maybe? We’ll see!
And well, Nebby is a weird situation because the anime seems to put more focus on legendaries and/or mythicals in the movies, but it could work. Haruka did have Manaphy after all and to a lesser extent, Hikari had Shaymin, so I don’t see why Lillie having and developing a bond with Nebby and then a heartbreaking goodbye at the end wouldn’t work in a movie.

Perhaps this is my personal bias since Lillie and Serena are my favorite characters but it makes so sad when Serena fans hate on Lillie for no reason and vice versa? Like let's be real, they would be great friends.
consider: lillie getting more pokemon (and possibly evolving shiron) and being the one to ultimately fight and defeat lusamine in the finale episodes
I would actually personally take a flight to Japan to kiss the writers if that happened.

It made more sense to change only the ED of this episode instead of the OP. Knowing Pokemon and their history with OPs, it will change too. They shortly replaced Serena's Eevee with Sylveon and Satoshi's Noibat with Noivern in the XY&Z OP.

which is why I reblogged those posts and made my own because I know some people don’t know they’re reposters and I know a good chunk of the people who reblog from them aren’t aware (it’s not their fault honestly) so raising awareness is simply what I want to do!
sorry for the latest "callout" posts but honestly, lilliepokemonsunandmoon I know you're following me and may be likely to see this so to put it short: stop. reposting. art. it's not cute, it's not good and it's extremely harmful to the actual artists. I managed to gain a decent platform on here so I hope a lot of my followers will see this and stop supporting said user, instead support the original artists who find it hard to get themselves out there specifically because of people like lilliepokemonsunandmoon who think it's ok to repost art AND claim it as theirs. i'm getting tired of tumblr recommending their blog, i'm getting tired of seeing people supporting their blog and i'm just tired of the blatant disrespect of artists. mind you, some of those are japanese and a lot of japanese art websites (pixiv being the most popular example) prohibits art thievery BY LAW so not only is it toxic for artists it's also well, illegal. to put it simply: don't support them. report them.
so apparently lilliepokemonsunandmoon has hit 1000 followers so i wanna post to make sure everybody knows that you should not be following them or reblogging their posts; ALL of the artwork they have posted is stolen.
their blog hits a lot of art thief red flags - extremely inconsistent art style; way too many tags, none of which allude to a ‘my art’ tag; all captions are basically the same, boiling down to ‘i love this character!’ and never anything about the art itself; terrible jpeg qualities; none of the artwork has a signature on it, hinting at cropping; and none of it is sourced in any way.
please never, ever reblog fanart unless it was made by the original poster, OR they received explicit permission from the original artist to post it here. if it is neither by the op or there was no permission received, sourced or not, it is art thievery. do not support people like this.
i’m sure that lilliepokemonsunandmoon means well, but they are stealing all the artwork they post and you should not be following them or reblogging their posts, and i have no other way of contacting them to let them or everyone else know that what they are doing is wrong.

I know the guy behind it and I can assure everybody that he knows exactly what he’s doing and doesn’t care one bit about taking others work. He’s only focused on getting attention and that’s exactly what he’s getting. Always has been this way.
