Wow when I saw in your about me that you "make music" I wasn't expecting it to link to a Soundcloud full of crappy dubstep bullshit. That's not music it's just dumb noise made by pressing random buttons on a computer. Pick up a guitar or something and try making some real music.

Alright friend let me tell you a thing.

The number one way to piss me off is to insult and degrade the style of music I make. My guess is you’re some kid who knows how to play the guitar, has started up/is trying to start up/aspire to start up some mediocre band that will not get noticed most likely due to unoriginality (since you clearly aren’t open minded enough to incorporate different aspects to your music which means you’ll be sounding exactly like whatever bands you’re currently listening to), and you now think you’re some sort of bad ass guitar slaying music God that can pass judgement on other styles of music. Well guess what? I’m about to pull you off your high horse and rip you a new one.

Guess what friend? I have a guitar that I’ve owned for three years, taught myself a few songs on, and am planning on selling to buy a drum kit because I’m currently more interested in drumming than playing guitar. So yeah, your argument is invalid there.

You obviously know nothing about dubstep, or any electronic music for that matter. The musical technicality in dubstep and other electronic genres is very complex and I’d like to see you teach me how to side chain compress a bass pad so that it matches the kick on drum in a song. Hell, I doubt you even know what that means. And last time I checked, there weren’t entire schools dedicated to the production of the something that could be easily achieved by random button pressing. I plan on attending a DJ production school when I graduate with courses on Ableton Live production and DJing.

I don’t have a problem with people not liking dubstep. It disappoints me that I’ve lost the opportunity to gain another fan and supporter of my music, but I understand that everybody has their own taste in music and I respect that. My own little sister is not so keen on dubstep and I’m completely fine with that. But what pisses me off and makes me lose all respect is when someone not only states their displeasure with the genre, but completely degrades and dismiss it and the artists who work hard at what they do. You have no right to determine what is and isn’t “real music”. There is no such thing as “real music”. People like what they like and that’s that. Now, I’ve said all I need to say. Please do not ever proceed to come to my ask box with such disrespect towards my work again.
