Help Walid’s Family Find Safety and Stability After Repeated Displacement in Gaza
I am Engineer Walid Al-Qatrawi. I am 36 years old, a father of three children: Adam, Hala, and Nay. I was born and raised in Gaza, where my family and I have spent our entire lives.
Because of the ongoing conflict, we have been forced to leave our home and relocate multiple times in search of safety. Today, my family and I are displaced in southern Gaza, living in a fragile tent that does not provide the protection and stability my children need.
After repeated displacement, my children have lost the sense of security and normal life they once knew. Every day, we struggle to provide them with a safe and dignified environment. Our tent offers very limited protection from harsh conditions and the challenges of displacement. We urgently need to repair and equip it, build a private bathroom for our family, provide food, clean water, clothing, and essential supplies for our children. If possible, we also hope to secure a safer temporary home where our family can live with more stability.
Every donation, no matter how small, can make a real difference. If you cannot donate, sharing our story may help us reach someone who can.

I wished someone would stop me at the end of the road and say, "It was all just a hidden camera prank..."
Yesterday, I decided to take my children to the sea. It wasn't an outing in the way most people know it it was a desperate attempt to give them a few hours of joy in a life that has left them with no playgrounds, no parks, no toys, and no normal childhood.
We walked for about an hour and a half because there was no transportation available.
Along the entire way, rows of displaced families' tents stretched endlessly on both sides of the road. Entire families were living beneath thin sheets of fabric under the blazing summer sun.
The streets were flooded with sewage, and the smell was overwhelming, as if reminding us that this is not the life any human being deserves.
When we finally reached the sea, it was crowded. Not because people had come to relax, but because it has become the last place where an entire people can breathe after losing their homes, their parks, their streets, and every place that once made life feel normal.
On the way back, I had only one wish.
I wished someone would suddenly appear, smile, and say, "Cut... it was all just a hidden camera prank."
I wished I could open my eyes and find that the tents were gone, our homes had returned, children were back in their schools, and this endless suffering was finally over.
But reality was far more painful.
We walked home the same way we came through rows of tents, past the stench of sewage, carrying the weight of a homeland still waiting to come back to life.
I don't want pity. I simply want the world to know that there are people who still live this reality every single day, wishing just once that they could wake up from this nightmare
Please, do what you can to help Noor and her family; she is doing everything she can to support her children and try to make things bearable for them.

I think the issue is that people are describing this as a bad TV season, but it's really much deeper than that. The final season of Sherlock was a bad season, the final season of Game of Thrones was a bad season. TVL / IWTV 3 is anti-Black. It is misogynistic. It has an open and glaring disdain for its Black and brown characters, and chose to be virulently anti-Black in a time of increased anti-Blackness. You are watching the corpse/ghost of a Black girl hurl racist garbage in a time where Black people are regularly being called slurs for simply existing. You are watching a Black man be branded... BRANDED! You are watching the whitewashing and babying of an unquestionably racist white man who beat his Black partner / helped lynch (yes, lynch, not stone) his Black daughter. You are seeing this done at the expense of a brown man.
Keep in mind, the characters are not making independent choices, you are not watching a documentary —you are watching the deliberate choices of an all white writers' room and a white show runner in a period of time where seventeen Black people have been lynched this year. In a time where countless Black people have been murdered in cold blood in June and July 2026 alone. This shit doesn't exist in a vacuum and pretending it does only adds more insult to injury. There is no turning your brain off in the midst of a slow genocide of Black people in america.
ok for the record i have only watched like 2 eps of i wtv (which was really quite some time ago) and the rest about it + tv l i know thru tumblr osmosis. but i saw a spoiler for the latter today and. what the fuck
