Hello friends! Welcome new followers. Just a reminder that this isn't a personal blog, but a writing blog. I post things my mind is generating ideas for. I have rp blogs if anyone is interested. My main is Michael Emerson from The Lost Boys.
My Discord is available to those who are interested in chatting or discussing different fandoms or ideas. Currently obsessed with Legacy of Kain again.
Current Fic Projects
Embers - Ascended Astarion x Spawn M!Tav
On The Wind - BBC Dracula x Jonathan Harker
Multiple for the Venomous Verse - Albert Wesker x Chris Redfield
From Thief PoP Official - A New Heist Awaits in Thief: Pulse of Promise
I'm not sure how I feel about this. Bit Bot is involved again. I hope it works out better for the Thief IP than it did Legacy of Kain. I'm suspiciously cautious.
Seriously though, who do they have going around getting these IPs?
I feel like Soldier Boy definitely didn't know about Stormfront being a Nazi. He makes it sound like all her superiority talk was silly. Second, I don't think Soldier Boy is all in on Homelander just yet. I think something else is going on. He already established that he can nullify V1. If Homelander saw that from above then his paranoia will probably kick in and cause him to betray Soldier Boy.
Also kinda bugs me how Ryan so far hasn't had any time with Soldier Boy. I'm curious what his thoughts would be to find out about the circumstances that lead up to Ryan's birth. It also would seem like it might interest him that Homelander beat Ryan when confronted.
Soldier Boy's father never laid a hand on him, or so he says. Curious to see if he'd react.
Also curious whether or not Homelander is going to experience any got effects now that two compound V formulas are in his system.
Hiii, just finished your Venomous fic. Saw you said that you'd like for people to drop by. Wanted to say i rrreally liked the characterization, it's so good. The way you write them doesn't give any "he would not fucking say that" vibes. It doesn't take you out of the world you have created. I hope you will get to a better place in life and have some time to do what you wnat ❤️
Aww~~❤️❤️
That was one of my biggest concerns honestly, making sure Chris and Wesker was in character. Chris was fairly straight forward, but I was concerned about Wesker. Thank you for the kind words. I really do have more in the works, my mind just doesn't want to focus. Feel free to ask me any questions about the universe of Venomous.
The more I play LoK: Defiance Remastered the more I wish we could mix and match the character models we see.
If the character was lower res in the OG than the main cast:
- Prisoners in Vorador's mansion and the Sarafan Fortress
- Moebius's band of Hunters
- Sarafan**
Then the remaster did very well giving them an updated and higher res look. The prisoners and hunters particularly look very nice.
**The Sarafan look fine, but too generic to me. I liked the almost wing like designs on the shoulders in the OG. The Sarafan were suppose to appear like these righteous warrior of light keeping the darkness and evil at bay. Yet, the new version looks like regular solders. Other than that, they look good.
However, if the character is any of the main cast, they look worse. Some of them look unfinished as if the shadowing was skipped.
I know, no one really seeings things like I do. That's why I keep my opinion here where I won't get mobbed.
Kain realizing the heartbeat that Raziel would fall asleep listening to while curled into his side wasn’t even his. It had belonged to Janos all along.
Unpopular opinion, I feel like Capcom should have had the balls to kill off Leon for real. I love Leon, to be clear, but there just isn't any consequences to the majority of characters and by extension, the player.
The only core cast member that has died is Wesker. Granted, he's the villain so it was bound to happen, but still. At this point in the lives of the main cast the plot armor shouldn't be unbreakable.
Now I can see maybe not wanting to do it in RE9 because then they would have wrote themselves into a corner with all the cast dropping quickly. Though I question how long that RCS was going on exactly. Was Rebecca unable to analyze it in her lab? Did she just not crack it in time? Did she conveniently switch careers? Go on vacation?
If they decided to resurrect Wesker through cloning or whatever other way they imagine, then it should come at a cost. A big cost.
If Wesker does return to the series then it should cost the death of one of the core cast members (or two).
What better way to establish how dangerous Wesker truly is then by having him kill a character that is widely considered unbeatable. It would make the point clear, particularly, to the new players who know little to nothing about him.
You can see what I mean with Leon in RE9, he's largely unfazed about what the circumstances bring his way. He's among the characters that are so adjusted to these events that it's just another day.
Honestly, Leon would have been the best option to kill off in such a situation because he's the only core member who has never met Wesker in person. So he wouldn't have had the understanding of his capabilities, especially his powers. Of course, now Zeno has given him a taste.
On the other hand, Wesker is more vicious than Zeno. Noticed Zeno favored killing people with his gun and didn't seem to be hand into rib cages like Wesker.
Plus, Wesker's revival bringing the death of a core cast member would be fitting since we were introduced to him in RE1 and he got majority of the cast killed.
It would renew the remaining cast's drive to put him down. Perhaps, at the cost of their aging health. If Chris was left alive I have a feeling we'd see a fire light in his eyes. Something I think was snuffed out following RE5 since his primary reason for pushing forward was no longer present.
The Connections were there to recover Zeno's head. Why not Gideon? Based on the prices of B.O.W.s it doesn't seem like Nemesis is as valued. Since the price was "Negotiable", while the rest were set. Perhaps, that's because the Nemesis strain isn't as consistent as the others. It's durable and resilient when it produces a quality product, but that isn't always the case.
Now, compare that to the Project W strain. Until something says otherwise, I refuse to believe Zeno had Uroboros. That wasn't a bio-weapon by Umbrella, or Spencer (which seemed to be the theme), and it was extremely volatile to the point that Wesker himself couldn't fully control it as it was destroying him.
Anyway, the Project W Strain is rare. Particularly, the outcome Wesker got with it. He was the only one of the thirteen subjects to not only survive it, but gain abilities. The only other survivor (Subject 12 - Alex) did not become superhuman.
But wait, Zeno cured himself with Elpis so that's moot, right? So I have a theory here. Zeno was not on Wesker's level and if he truly was a clone that downgrade may have been intentional.
Wesker is extremely smart and incredibly powerful. The only thing that kept him even remotely in check was the compulsion he was engineered to have. Which Spencer shattered once he made it known. So, it's possible that if Wesker was cloned to be at 100% of his former self, he'd be difficult to control. Either the compulsion would no longer work out of the gate or he'd be aware of it and play along until the opportunity to break free presented itself. It's not a matter or if, but when. He hates being controlled and he won't let another company put a leash on him.
So if Zeno was a flawed clone then that would explain his behavior during the scene where he is explaining Elpis to Grace. Specifically, the moment he steps away and starts smoking. The way he talks about the Grace clones felt personal.
"So many attempts. So many failures. Such a waste. Copies, crafted to duplicate you. All useless. All scrapped. They each have their own sad story."
That scene felt like he was drawing the parallels between the Grace copies and himself in his head. Like it's only a matter of time before he too is seen as useless and scrapped too. Probably why he wanted Elpis to be a weapon. So he would no longer be seen as bad product.
So the Connections could have been recovering Zeno in order to study how well he fared. That way improvements could be made to the next version. However, Zeno had Elpis in his system. So while he was no longer a superhuman entity, he could be a key to use going forward.
If say, they want to bring back Wesker because of his mind but are worried about his powers, they could synthesize Elpis from the sample in Zeno's remains in order to neutralize them.
Plus, having a powerful anti-viral agent could still be worth something to the right person. Maybe their higher ups are looking for some protection against rivals.
Or, they could use Elpis to test their future products against. We see it all the time in medicine where a bacteria or virus adapts to the cure rendering it ineffective. The same could happen here. The stronger the cure the stronger the bio-weapons will need to be.
While I doubt we will see Zeno again, there is a good chance we will see other copies until the Connections succeed in whatever they are hoping for.
Hey, can someone hook me up with screenshots of the S.T.A.R.S. office in RE9 and maybe RE2R? Thinking about writing a little something and need some references.
Imagine for a moment that Zeno really was Wesker with his consciousness in a new body. Can you imagine Wesker waking up and remembering everything that lead up to his death in 2009.
Now picture him catching up on everything that happened while he was gone. Particularly, with Chris. Being surprised, but not really, that Chris is still alive and getting confused why the man suddenly appears to have a daughter.
Imagine him watching surveillance footage of Chris with a small child balanced on his hip. Then Mia comes to pick up Rose but for a brief moment Wesker wonders if that is Chris's partner.
Of course, the body language would bring doubts. Chris and Mia don't act like two people in a relationship. The next thought would be is they were exes being civil for the sake of the child. No, still doesn't fit.
Then he'd do more digging and decide he should really arrange an encounter for a chance to check up.
Traditionally, Wesker has not been one to make house calls, but given the unusual circumstances, he can make an exception for an old friend.
I'd love for it to be revealed that Leon married Chris. Just to throw the fans into chaos.
Heh, RE9 would then be Leon having to deal with the Ghost of Chris’s ex, Wesker.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Leon married someone unknown that had little to nothing to do with Bio-Terrorism. I doubt Capcom would take sides with the shipping stuff, so they'd invent a new character, probably.
Another [Redacted] post for RE9. Don't look if you don't know who all the characters are.
I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Did anyone else find their eye drawn to below Zeno's belt? The fabric from waist up lays pretty flat on his figure, but once you look at his lower half, there's a lot of shadowing, and it seems focused at his crotch. Maybe it's because he's wearing white, and that is making the shadow pop more.
Is that a spare gun? Or is he just happy Elpis is within reach?
