Myocardial fibrosis is a fascinating part of dark cardiophilia.
Replacement fibrosis, physical trauma causing damaged cardiomyocites to be replaced by collagen-based scars. It's bad for the conduction system as well as ejection fraction. The heart will have to learn to deal with those limits, though every single bit of damage is lowering margins.
Each skip could devolve into a more sustained arrhythmia, helped along by that beautiful scarring. That risk, that physically memorised damage, that progressive weakness and the symptoms that result...
It will leave you struggling more and more, basic tasks starting to become too much as the deterioration self perpetuates the downward spiral of circulatory function.
Just some thoughts from last nights activities.
