Dani sighed, shrugging her shoulders. “I guess they do overdo the Broadway theme too much, but it’s their style.” she spoke, watching as Santana soon gave her a smile. Letting lipped smile form on her face, Dani couldn’t help but let a sassy comment slip. “Oh, so you had this planned all along, huh? Dinner and wine just to get me into your bedroom.” she showed that she was joking, grinning afterwards. Emotions wasn’t normally something Dani was too fond of, considering she either hid hers or disregarded them so she was thankful that they were on the same page. “Exactly, and all of the endless nights of fucking that’s to come… maybe.” she teased.

Arching into Santana’s touch, Dani’s fingers slowly moved down her arms, feeling her kisses and the unclasping of her bra. She nodded slowly, slipping off her shorts and then moved over to where Santana sat on the edge of the bed. a smirk on her lips. She refused to be the only one fully undressed, plus she wanted to see more of her. Her hand slowly trailed down Santana’s bare stomach, and eventually she tugged on Santana’s pants with her fingers. “These should come off too, you know, equality.” she joked, leaning over ever so slightly to work on the button of her partner’s pants, pretending that she wasn’t giving Santana a small view of her ass. Santana could hear Dani’s voice even when she’d walked through the curtain (not that they were soundproof or anything, she’d learnt that painfully when Rachel had been dating donkey face). “Well it’s not especially small, we just don’t fill it too much, unless you’re counting my roommate’s weird adoration of Broadway memorabilia,” Then she turned and gave the woman a gracious smile before she was pulled close into a kiss. “Well you definitely can’t turn me down, I gave you dinner and a little bit of wine and now you’re all mine, to do whatever I want with, for the night…” She gave a little smile then breathed out through her nose. “For as long as we want this little game to go on. Friends with benefits, right Harper? No feelings, no jealousy, honesty and fun that we get to fuck each other’s brains out without all those stupid set backs from emotions,” Then she ducked her head and began to press open mouthed kissed to Dani’s collar bone and chest, her hands flattening against the small of her back to keep her close. Dani chuckled as she detected how Santana was already slightly affected from her touch. Her eyes moved from the screen and to Santana’s brown orbs as she spoke, amusement apparent in her features. Sure, she knew a few things about Santana, but it seemed like each time she told her something new, Dani felt intrigued. Suddenly, Santana turned her head, a smirk that only made Dani’s heart race. She had no idea how the hell this woman was doing this to her, especially because Dani always remained calm and collected. At the contact of Santana’s lips against her neck, Dani smirked a little, chuckling at the suggestion that flowed out of her lips. Damn, this girl was sexy. She could only imagine how much more intense this would become later in the evening. And Dani intended to make sure she’d leave Santana panting, almost payback for what she was doing now. She gasped a bit at the contact of Santana’s hand against her crotch. “Fuck.” she muttered. Of course, Santana had managed to tease again.

Dani chuckled a little as Santana sang along to the song, shaking her head. Her eyes wandered over her facial features, and she was extremely gorgeous. Dani let out a slight laugh as she shrugged off her blazer. “One thing you should know, alcohol has this effect on me where I end up feeling extremely warm.” she said and then settled into the couch. Once the question left her lips, Dani could feel the embarassment show in her face as she remained quiet for a few moments. Nice going, Harper. She turned to Santana as she scooted over, and suddenly she felt her hand on her inner thigh. She relaxed back into Santana as she felt her lips on her ear, instantly knowing that this girl that stood behind her knew how to play her cards right. "Sounds like a plan to me." she said slowly, taking in a breath afterwards. However, as soon as all of this started, it ended. Santana was walking through to the living room, leaving Dani stunned.

"Uh, right!" she stammered, turning around and nearly knocking over the table. "Shit." she whispered to herself, taking the bottle off the table with their glasses and taking another bottle from the cupboard as Santana instructed. She could still feel the heat that ran over the places that Santana touched, shaking her head to clear her mind. Walking into the direction that the living room was, Dani set down the bottle and poured herself and Santana a glass of wine before swallowing hers down. It was the only way she could calm herself. Stepping back, she sat on the couch, looking towards Santana. Yup, she was definitely feeling hot an bothered. She pulled off her heels and blazer, wanting to be more comfortable. "So, when are we gonna start fuckin— I mean, watching." she corrected herself, clearing her throat. When are we going to start.. watching..this?" she questioned.

Oh Santana was totally the best roommate in the world. She helped out with all the necessary stuff and even didn’t let her hair block the plug in the shower but a few plates wouldn’t kill Kurt and Rachel, especially if she was going to get laid tonight because that sure hadn’t occurred in a while. She could still remember the wonderful look on their faces as she’d marched into the loft that day, all smiles and happiness as she declared she was moving in. And then came the question and Santana nearly choked on the wine she’d just swallowed because goddamn that was eagerness in its finest form. “Wow,” She teased before scooting a little closer and very deliberately laying her hand high on Dani’s inner thigh. Dani rolled her eyes playfully as Santana teasingly called her Mila Kunis, putting her hands up in defense. “Hey, she’s pretty hot so I don’t mind being compared to her.” she laughed, knowing that she was indeed referring to the movie that the actress starred in. Watching as Santana took a drink from her wine, Dani slightly sat up, getting tired from leaning back in the chair. This was a good idea, right? They didn’t have feelings for each other and they were close enough to be considered friends in a way. Dani was never into messy things and she knew that this meant no strings attached, if anything, it could only help her make the improvement from constantly fighting Santana to actually getting along. Although it wasn’t a traditional way of making two people bond, there’s no way in hell was she going to pass up being with Santana. Taking a long sip of her wine, Dani nodded along as she listened to Santana, wholeheartedly agreeing with her. “I’m not going to complain, your cooking was great, but I think it’s just strange if we continued that when we can just be upfront about it.” she shrugged.

Watching as Santana leaned forward, Dani felt her breath hit her lips and suddenly, their lips were pressed together in a kiss. Leaning away, Dani blushed at Santana’s words. “I bet they do, let’s hope they get used it being more frequent.” she teased, leaning forward again to capture Santana’s lips with her own, kissing her softly. Slowly, she pulled away from the kiss, uncomfortable with leaning over the table to do so as she sat down with her back flat against the chair. She glanced over at the plates, pointing towards them. “Do you want me to help you clean up the table or…?” she trailed off, smiling softly. Although she desperately wanted to just jump into this and feel Santana’s bare skin against hers for the rest of the night, she didn’t know if it was rushing it.

Santana liked Dani’s lips. She liked how soft and warm they were. She liked that Dani seemed to be able to gage her need just by a touch. They may have spent a lot of time hating each other but they had spent time together as people. They’d surely learnt a lot of one another’s traits, even if they hadn’t learnt anything too personal. There was time for that though, maybe they could express their words between needy fucks. She wondered what kind of lover Dani was as well and although it would only take a while to find out, she quite liked pondering. She wondered what would make every muscle in her body tremble. “Leave the plates, Rachel and Kurt can do those,” She said simply as she rose to her feet with a steady smirk on her face. “Bring the wine,” She whispered as she took a step closer and moved behind her companion. Dani couldn’t help but smirk at the girl in front of her, letting her eyes cast down briefly once Santana blurted that she said she’d want to go to the bedroom, and Dani didn’t have any complaints. “Well, I meant besides the obvious, I know you want to have me to yourself.” she chuckled, her hand reaching out to comfortingly run up and down Santana’s arm, hoping she’d relax. Although she found it adorable when the taller girl became nervous and slightly rambled. She simply let a small smile sit on her lips as she began speaking. Although she stumbled over her words since her heart was beginning to race, especially with the way Santana was speaking. “Believe me when I say it’s mutual, just calm down Santana. It’s okay.” she reassured. Dani wasn’t going to deny anything, especially if they were going to be honest about where this would lead. She was extremely attracted to Santana, there was no denying that. But she didn’t think the uncertainty of how well they clicked would be good enough to cause them to form something together.

She nodded at Santana’s question, feeling relief. “Exactly. I’m the same way, I mean, like you said, I enjoy being around you but then there’s just these…weird moments. Like we try too hard to make it work at some points.” she admitted. Dani felt relieved, but despite coming to terms with the situation, she still very much wanted Santana around. Even if it wasn’t anything special, the brunette still thought there was a possibility of a good friendship. Well, you’re attracted to her, Danielle. How is it going to be possible to resist the urge to kiss her or do beyond that if you’re friends? Dani pondered the idea, immediately mentally cursing herself. She remained silent for a few moments until an idea popped into her head, one that nearly made her eyes go wide at the thought, but the more she thought about it, it seemed like a good option. “Uh..” Dani began, licking her lips slightly as she tried to vocalize her thoughts. “I’m not sure if you’re into this.. but what about a friends with benefits thing?” she suggested, suddenly feeling nervous. “That way, we can both get what we want without having to suppress our feelings or having the messy aspect of a relationship.” Dani elaborated, moving her head towards Santana, hoping she’d understand.

Santana was glad to hear Dani felt the same way because she hadn’t wanted anything to get too difficult. She could see herself spending time with Dani but she was right because sometimes it did get a little weird. Yet at other times they had these great interactions that left Santana’s heart skipping. Dani was a great person really because even though they’d bitched and snapped at each other, the other woman had a quick mouth and a smart tongue and she could take down some of Santana’s walls without obliterating her. As much as the woman hated to admit it, Dani could make her feel something that not many people did. It was something she did not want people to make her feel but at the same time she thought a bit inside of her craved it. She recalled their night out when they’d seemed so happy and so close but then they could just turn on each other and snap. Santana was glad she wasn’t the only one who was finding it difficult. Which was probably the reason she wasn’t calm about it because she’d never asked to feel like this about anyone but apparently it had just been thrust upon her. Then the suggestion came and Santana swore she felt her cheeks heat up because it wasn’t like she was adverse to the idea but she’d certainly not had the balls to suggest it. Go Dani. “Calm down there Mila Kunis,” She teased before taking a drink from her glass of wine and humming quietly. It seemed like a good idea. She got to have sex with a gorgeous woman but she didn’t have to have feelings for her when things got awkward and sex would make things less weird, right? Because the attraction was there, good god was the attraction there. “I like the sound of that. We get to fuck, it’ll stop us getting at each other’s throats at work all the time and we don’t have to do all the weird other crap that comes with being a couple. I mean I liked cooking dinner for you but imagine me doing this again with the promise of a night of sex to follow….not that that was the plan for tonight or anything, really but your idea sounds…” She leant in close, lifting herself a little so she could place a firm kiss to Dani’s mouth. “I like the sound of your idea. And the neighbours also love the sounds of my headboard on the wall…”

"That is true, very true Lopez." Dani joked, smiling. After telling Santana a bit about her life, Dani shifted in her seat. She wasn’t one to feel sorry for herself, especially since she was proud of how well she was doing in New York. If it came down to it, she had to admit she had no regrets. Dani chuckled at Santana’s comment, but before she had much time to think, her words fell out of her mouth faster than she could stop them. "I hate to break it to you, but maybe nailing someone would be much more enjoyable." Leaning back into her seat, Dani thanked Santana once she refilled her wine glass, taking a small sip as she listened to what she had to say. Of course, Dani knew that Santana wasn’t too fond of Ohio and she learned about Glee Club that night they went out to the club. But upon hearing how Santana was practically forced to come out by a stupid campaign, Dani sighed. "Stupid high-schoolers." she mumbled under her breath. She couldn’t understand how people could be cruel, especially to those who were more unique, they shouldn’t let them feel ashamed for who they are. Dani slightly sighed at the mention of Santana’s grandma, admitting that at least they had some common ground.

Nodding, Dani grinned and raised her glass, “Cheers.” she said before taking yet another sip of her wine. Setting it down after a few more sips, Dani glanced over at the plates that sat on the table before looking back up at Santana. Her eyes remained on hers’ as she tilted her head slightly, pondering what would happen next, now that they were on this date. Although Dani wasn’t keen on thinking about having a relationship with someone before it happened, she was unsure if it was possible for her and Santana. Sure, they conversed pretty well and managed to be on their best behavior (although there were some comments here and there) but she didn’t know where it led them to. Though her brown orbs wandered over Santana’s form, she couldn’t deny her attraction to her. Everything from her long, dark hair that cascaded over her shoulders, to her dark smoldering eyes and every curve was literally irresistible to Dani. Eventually, her eyes locked on Santana’s again, taking a second to arrange her question. “Where do you see this…well, us.. going after this?” Dani asked hesitantly

Santana wondered idly when she’d deemed it okay for her to spend so long in her own little world. It wasn’t like she was ignoring Dani or anything but she could just feel words running through her mind on a constant loop. Sometimes they related to exactly what she was feeling and others she scrunched up her nose and wondered why they were even there. It wasn’t just a thing she’d started doing that day either, it had been going on for a while now and she just put it down to the fact she sometimes found it so hard to be in touch with what she truly wanted; now her mind was full and was just spewing out ideas that most likely were in no way helpful. It especially wasn’t helpful when Dani asked a hesitant, yet serious question, and her mouth got there way before her brain. “The bedroom, maybe,” She proposed confidently before she realised just what she’d said and took a nervous sip of her wine. “Sorry, I didn’t….my mouth just kind of does this thing where it speaks before my mind really gets an input and I kind of end up looking like an idiot and I am definitely not helping myself out right now but…” She forced herself to stop and took a bigger mouthful of her wine.

“I mean it’s not that I don’t want to lay you down on a bed and take you but…” Okay, she was getting that stupid panicky sweat beneath her boobs now and Dani had only asked her a simple question. Why did she have to be so hot with so big eyes and smooth lips and those hands that she wished would just grab her and take her. Right here on the table maybe. “Well it depends how we feel. I know I’m attracted to you and when I’m around you I feel happy, but then sometimes we just kind of don’t work and that’s not in a mean way to you but I just feel like we….” She stopped and took a slow breath. “You’re attracted to me right? But we don’t see ourselves together?”

Dani continued chewing her food as she looked up at Santana briefly as she teased her about not knowing much about her. Laughing slightly at her comment of waiting tables badly, she shook her head and wiped the corners of her mouth with a napkin in case there was anything there. “I think that out of the both of us, you’re the more inexperienced one with waiting tables.” Dani joked, smirking. She enjoyed this, how carefree they were being without much of a tension now that they were alone. Taking a sip of her wine, Dani shrugged her shoulders at Santana’s question. “Well, I’m from Texas. Dallas to be more specific.” she nodded. Considering Santana didn’t know much about Dani despite how long they knew each other from work, she decided to elaborate a bit more about her life back home. “Everyone’s pretty friendly, I guess. My family life wasn’t all that great except for my two sisters being my closest friends.” she spoke, taking a small bite of food as she chewed quietly, swallowing it down before continuing. “Parents weren’t into the whole idea of me coming out to them as a lesbian so I just kind of saved up money and came here after graduation.” she shrugged.

It still hurt Dani how her parents reacted to her honesty, especially since they always claimed they loved her just as who she was, but turned out that it wasn’t as true as she thought it was. But she learned how to suck it up and tried not to showcase the pain on her face as she finished eating what was left on her plate. In an attempt to cover up, she smiled slightly at the girl who sat in front of her, nodding. “You definitely nailed this one. The food was great.” she said, sipping her wine. Setting her eyes on Santana’s, she crossed her arms and leaned slightly forward. “So, now that you know something about me, I think it would be fair for you to share something about yourself.” she said, a hint of curiousity in her voice.

“Well we’re not here to battle it out on experience, right?” She teased with a wink before settling back, taking small bites of her food every now and then. Santana listened with interest, absorbing in the stories Dani had to tell. Her first thought was that she was a long way from home. She knew Ohio was a fair way away but to come all the way from Texas to a new city so far away? That was daring. It was also quite hard to hear that her parents hadn’t taken too well to Dani coming out. It was good to hear that she had sisters who supported her too and it made her a little sad that she’d never asked about siblings. She’d never even asked about Dani’s friends or if she was lonely or not. Well that’s probably because you were always snapping at her and trying to outdo her. I wonder if her sisters are hot….Okay, no, you’ve got the hot one sat in front of you right now. Just listen, Lopez! “Well I was hoping the food wasn’t going to be the only thing I’d nail,” She returned before grinning and leaning in. “I mean, I should really nail that shelf back up over there, it looks a bit wonky,” Then she chuckled and took a long drink of her own wine before rising to refill both of their glasses. “I’ll share the same thing I guess, mainly because I don’t know what I have and haven’t said. Probably not much. I’m from Lima, Ohio. It’s a shithole, I had some good friends in this Glee Club I attended but I think I’ve mentioned that already. So, as for coming out, I was basically forced out of the closet after they threatened to run this stupid ad campaign outing me, whatever, but I told my parents and they were fine with it but then I told my abuela….who practically raised me when I was a kid because my parents worked so much….and she didn’t take any of it and told me to leave and never come back so…I guess I can kind of relate a little to how you might feel. It sucks but here’s to being happy with our sexualities within ourselves,” She laughed as she raised her wine glass.

Dani kept her brown eyes locked on Santana’s as she sat down across from her when she started taking a long sip of her wine. “Easy their eye, tiger.” Dani giggled a bit, straightening up in her seat as she leaned slightly forward to talk to the taller girl in front of her. Her eyes slightly widened briefly and a blush flushed her cheeks at her suggestion of a private show. “I could arrange that for you.” Dani said with a slight smirk curling up at the corners of her mouth. But just as soon as Santana started, she ended it and began to stand up. Although Dani wanted to press and tease Santana a bit more, she pursed her lips into a tight smile, shaking her head. “I don’t think food poisoning will be happening from how good everything smells.” Dani watched Santana, soon grinning back as Santana bought over two plates. She could smell the aroma of the food, her eyes looking at the food that was placed on her plate.

"This all smells and looks really good, what is it?" she questioned, picking up her fork and taking a small bite of it. The taste was satisfactory, although Dani could sense some spiciness in it, something that she normally preferred in her food due to her hereditary background. She nodded, giving Santana a thumbs up as she set her fork back down, waiting for the girl to sit so that they could at least eat together. But it seemed awkward for her to attempt to act all proper, when they were both the farthest thing from that, especially with the way they spoke to each other.

So a private show could be arranged? Well that certainly did sound good. Could she have it soon? Now? Yes, definitely now. She was disturbed from her thoughts as Dani asked her what the food was and she gave a smile. “It’s something my abuela used to make, and then my mother and then she gave it to me. It’s really simple actually and is just marinated chicken in a slightly hot sauce with some diced vegetables. I didn’t know exactly what you’d like so it seemed a safe bet…if you hate it I would just have run out and got a take-a-way,” She admitted with a laugh as she sank down onto her seat and took a bite of her own food. It wasn’t as good as it was when her family made it but it didn’t taste like shit which was a definite bonus and if she reflected back on the thumbs up then she definitely could be okay with this. Unless Dani was just humouring her because that was really kind of her. Silence fell between them as she poked at her food with her fork, chewing thoughtfully with each mouthful. It wasn’t that she felt awkward but she did feel like they didn’t have much to say. She really had changed her feelings for Dani over the hours that had gone by since that kiss in the changing room but they still weren’t there so to speak. Getting there would take a lot of work. “I really don’t know anything about you, Harper. Like anything, apart from the fact you like music, women and wait tables…badly a lot of the time,” She teased as she put some food on her fork. “Where are you from? That seems sensible to ask,”

Dani simply chuckled at Santana, leaning back in her chair as she got comfortable, thanks to the wine starting to run through her. “I don’t think you’re capable of giving me food poisoning.” she joked, running her fingers through her brown locks as she looked up at Santana who was moving in closer. Instantly, her breath slightly hitched at her comment, tightening her lips into a firm line as she tried to keep her thoughts pure. Although Santana was making it awfully hard to, especially after that. Letting out a breath she didn’t know she was holding, Dani sipped some of her wine.

The music played through the small room, in which Dani slowly nodded her head to the song that she recognized. Humming lowly, her eyes followed the path that Santana made around the room, stopping when she questioned about her performances. “Well, because people suck at keeping their bookings, so half of the time, I’m never sure if it’s really going to happen.” she paused, smiling a little. “But I know for a fact that I have a performance at the club on 5th and Main Street on Tuesday night. So you’re welcome to come see me.”

“You say that but you’re yet to try my stuff,” She teased quickly in return as she moved but of course the pleasurable torture was much more satisfying than teasing Danielle about possible food related illnesses. Then moment passed and she found herself still looking, absorbed by every motion Dani made. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d been so captivated by something that she’d stopped and actually looked at them because that really didn’t happen much. When Dani explained about the music venues she nodded along, understanding what Dani was saying to a certain extent. “Fifth and Main you say?” She asked as she sank down into her own seat and took a long drink from her wine glass before sighing. “And of course I would totally love to come and see you in action but I’m sure we’d both be much more satisfied by a private show that involved less clothes and more rocking of-“ She stopped herself quickly, realising how carried away she’d been getting. Jerkily she rose to her feet and quickly walked over to the pot that held their food, simmering away as they’d been talking. “If you’re going to get food poisoning we may as well do it as soon as possible, right?” She said with a grin as she served both of their meals up on plates then carried them back to the table, sliding one down in front of her guest.

Dani giggled lowly as Santana explained how she randomly showed up to Rachel and Kurt’s apartment and pretty told them she would stay there. ”Sure sounds like they didn’t have much of a choice.” she teased. Watching as Santana took the flowers, she let a small smile work its way on her lips, her brown eyes remaining on hers. She raised an eyebrow at Santana’s comment of her needing a drink and she quickly came up with a comeback but before she could say it, Santana placed a kiss on Dani’s lips. Taken slightly aback, she pecked the girl back afterwards, chuckling at her reason. Her eyes followed down the curve of Santana’s body when she turned away, taking a sip of her red wine.

Sitting down, Dani took in a sigh to calm herself, thankful that the wine was soothing her enough. Her eyes drifted over to Santana as she walked in, grinning at her. “Well, like I said.. any woman that can cook is automatically a turn on for me.” she teased back, a smirk on her lip. There we go, that was the Dani everyone knew. Taking another sip of her wine as she listened to Santana’s question, Dani immediately let out a small chuckle. Setting the glass back down on the table, she pondered a response, contemplating what she should say back. “Well, you know, the usual. Having fantasies about you.” the brunette said casually, trying to keep a serious face on. “Other than that, my day was boring but thank god we don’t have to deal with Gunther by working today.” She peered at Santana through her eyelashes before taking another small sip of her wine. “So, what have you done today?” she questioned.

“Miss Harper are you sure you aren’t trying to seduce me with all this talk of fantasies and turn ons?” She teased as she brought the glass up to her lips and took a long drink. Okay so maybe it looked more like she was the one trying to seduce Dani, given that she’d poured her a highly alcoholic drink and had cooked her dinner. Except, this wasn’t how Santana went about hook ups but at the same time, Santana knew she didn’t have feelings. So maybe she was just trying to make up for being such a bitch but that didn’t really sound like her either. She just let it slide as she chuckled about not having to encounter their creepy as boss. Gunther really was an interesting fellow after all and if it wasn’t for the fact he paid them, she was sure they’d no longer be attending the Spotlight Diner daily so they could work. “Well today I’ve just mainly worried about cooking something that won’t give you food poisoning,” She said with a laugh before moving closer to Dani. Then when she was close enough she leaned in until her lips were next to her ear. “And maybe I thought a bit about you too…and maybe it wasn’t too innocent,” She teased before grinning and stepping by the woman. She crossed to the stereo in the corner that held her ipod and flicked it on, making sure the volume was low just so they could have some ambient background noise. “So tell me what I really want to know, why is it I always miss when you perform and when are you going to tell me you’re performing so I can actually attend….because I’d really like to,”

Dani swallowed back the gulp in her throat as Santana opened the door, chuckling immediately when the woman lifted her head slightly to look at her. “Hiya.” she giggled, smiling afterwards as she felt Santana peck her cheek. “Oh, gosh, red wine would be fine.” Dani said simply, smiling over at Santana as she walked in, her eyes wandering around the wide space. “Wow, nice place you’ve got here.” Dani said with a slight nod. She was impressed by how artsy it mostly appeared and the space it contained, feeling as if everything was somewhat more open than her apartment was. Her brown eyes drifted back to Santana, taking in her appearance rather quickly before looking back up at her.

"Oh, uh, yeah, sure. I mean, if you want to eat, we can. Whatever you want to, I’m fine with." she paused, taking a step towards the girl. "But before anything else, I figured I’d show up with something, you know, because I hate showing up anywhere empty-handed and…" the brunette began to ramble, realizing she had to stop herself. Letting out a small chuckle, she lowered her eyes slightly to the floor, shaking herself out of her random fast-paced talking. "Sorry." she chuckled, pausing to smile up at Santana. "These are for you." Dani said, handing over the flowers shyly. She didn’t know why, but she felt slightly more quieter than normal, probably because this was a first for them. This wasn’t one of their normal texts or a night out influenced by alcohol, it was purely both of them in one apartment together, with no pressure.

“Thanks, it’s mainly due to Rachel and Kurt that it looks kind of like a Broadway memorabilia museum but it was their apartment first,” She explained as she watched Dani look around. Their apartment was quite large but then again it only had two doors so privacy was pretty scarce unless you were in the bathroom. The lock was pretty wonky in there anyway. “I just turned up here one day and declared I was moving in and I don’t think they really had a choice but to say yes,” She chuckled then watched Dani move toward her. She noticed the difference in Dani instantly, knowing that usually the woman was so clear spoken and pretty damn confident but this was kind of sincerely sweet. “Don’t apologize,” She said quietly as she took the flowers with a grin, playing with one of the unopened buds. “They’re gorgeous, just like you and they need a drink, also just like you,” She said before leaning forward and pressing her mouth softly to Dani’s. “That’s because you’re adorable and because you planted a surprise one on me at the Diner that I never replied,” Then she turned and headed away. She poured a glass of red for Dani first and set it on the table before hunting through the cupboard for a suitable vase. Luckily Kurt must have purchased one or two and she found a pretty turquoise one that she clearly filled with water. “You’ve brought me flowers so now I feel like I really do I have to impress you with the food,” She teased before wandering back to the table and pouring a glass of white wine for herself. “So what have you been up to today? Anything thrilling or dirty I should know about?”

Dani’s hands shook slightly as she clasped the necklace she chose around her neck, letting out a sigh. Closing her eyes, she tried to compose herself for the date, knowing that she managed to at least get this far into getting ready. She didn’t know why, but this date made her jittery and knowing that she was going to spending time with Santana without anyone around at all made her heart race. She knew it was just a dinner with some wine and didn’t require anything fancy. But of course, she was overthinking everything. Her eyes drifted over to the mirror, taking in her appearance which consisted of a black blazer paired with shorts and a low white v-neck. She paired her outfit with some heels, wanting to appear somewhat nice.

She swallowed back the dryness in her throat as she tossed her long brown locks over her shoulder, making her way over to the kitchen where a small bouquet of flowers sat in a vase. Dani was always the type to show up to someone else’s place with something in hand, she never liked to come empty-handed so she figured there was nothing wrong with getting some flowers. Picking up her keys off the counter, Dani tried to calm her nerves as she placed the strap of her bag through her arm, making her way out of her apartment afterwards. She inhaled a shaky breath once she was in her car, typing in the address to Santana’s apartment into her GPS system before she drove off. It was nearly 7 and she didn’t want to keep Santana waiting.

As the brunette drove through the streets of New York, she reflected back on the past weeks with Latina, slowly becoming confused by what it all meant between them. It couldn’t have just been purely physical, right? There must have been something between them, especially if Danielle Harper was nervous for a date. Whatever it was, she knew they’d find out. After driving through the streets, Dani made a turn to the side street where Santana’s apartment was, well, the one she shared with her roommates. Turning off the ignition and getting out of the car, Dani soon locked it, hearing the alarm beep as she walked up the stairs to Santana’s door. Letting another sigh escape her lips, she knocked on the door, stepping back as she waited with flowers in her hand.
