adventure. that’s what she wants. adventure and danger --- enough that it’s exciting, that her senses sharpen, but not so much that she thinks she’s about to die --- and fun, and clara gets all of those from spending time with the doctor. especially when he was aiming for something much more lowkey. who wants a boring birthday? and there’s nothing boring about the sonic screwdriver; clara beams at him, and looks around. ❝ alright, so...panels. we’ll get out through the panels. they won’t be deadlocked. ❞ the sonic whirrs to prove her point.
