I’m kinda bitter bc I was gonna make a post about this earlier and then I didn’t :( have my analysis anyway

Logan’s Part:

Very literal, what actually makes up one’s body. Also promotes Logan’s extremist water agenda. Nice.

Roman’s Part:

Focuses on telling stories, also the only part that doesn’t mention any tangible ingredients.

Virgil’s Part:

Mainly about insecurity and acceptance. Also parallel’s Virgil’s acceptance arc in that people don’t see him clearly/misunderstand him.

Patton’s Part:

Switches into a very optimistic tone, lots of puns here. It also technically doesn’t mention a real world ingredient except in the pun about flower/flour, which I’m counting.

ok I’m gonna add onto this with something I noticed!

Ok so with Logan’s part, besides the guitar and piano that are prominent throughout the whole song, there is one other instrument that sticks out with him, synthetic strings. It also shows up with the chorus.

Next, Roman’s part. The strings aren’t there and have been replaced by bells. When the next chorus kicks in, the piano and guitar are accompanied with both the strings and bells, bringing them together.

This pattern continues until all four parts are together. For Virgil, it’s an acoustic guitar and Patton is an upbeat electric guitar

My autistic brother created a new family Christmas tradition

Okay, so last year, my mom bought this Christmas moose that she lovingly named Barry

This is him

Cute, right?

Well, for whatever reason only known to my brother, he decided that he wanted to put Barry in different rooms of our house and it usually scares the shit out of whomever happens upon Barry; usually the person who finds him is the person that my brother wanted to scare.

So far, Barry has been found

On our dining room table

On my dad's side of my parents' bed

In my parents' closet

Outside their bedroom door (at 5 in the morning and scared my mother shitless)

Near the kitchen door

Near my fucking bed

At the bottom of my sister's stairwell

In our bathroom

And down the hallway

This has gone on for 9 days and it doesn't seem to show signs of stopping. Most of the time we know who gets Barry because it's always followed with a very loud "FUCKING BARRY!!!!!"

My brother is the funniest fucking person I know.

He found his way into my sister's room.

Unpopular Opinion But

Why Do We Get Out of Bed in the Morning is my favorite and one of the most well written episodes of the Sanders Sides series.

The episode contemplates why sleep, good slesp at that, is important. Both Roman and Logan agree that it is, but what they struggle with is the WHY. This is an amazing narrative because it shows how two conflicting forces can agree yet have two entirely different motives. I'm also a sucker for Logan and Roman.

The episode then uses both characters to show off their arguements in their own respective ways. Logan cuts clean with blunt, logical facts stated with disgrams and evidence to provide backbone to his claim. Roman has a different approach, using his adept skills of flowery figurative language to paint his point into the arguement and gives theoretical examples to give the imagination a penny for thought. This is such a beautiful way to ram it into the viewer's head that these characters express their concerns differently but still can get a point across. It is a subtle show off to their differences and how well the two actually compliment eachother.

At the end Thomas says they make a wonderful team. And they do, they just can't see over their differences in method which means they refuse to realize they share the same madness. It's amazing writing, yet it is so simple. It's an informative, simple episode. It doesn't need lore or every single character or a huge evil to be fought with. It'a just an arguement at a stalemate that ends in compromise.

So yeah, flame me. This is my favorite episode and nobody will convince me otherwise.
