 ‘’ what do you have to be sorry about ?? ‘’ he can’t help the look of concern over his features as he takes her hand, studying it carefully. ‘’c’mon, it’s alright. just.. just breathe. ‘’ he whispered, trying to calm her down.

clementine smirked , raising an eyebrow at the man underneath her. “ here i thought , man liked it when the woman took charge. ” she murmured , clearly teasing him. “ if you want to be on top , you’re going to have to earn it , delacroix. ”

remy returned the soft kiss, his arms wrapping around her frame slowly. ‘’you.. clem, why in the world.. are you sorry ?? ‘’ remy questioned inbetween kisses, pulling back slightly. ‘’if there’s anyone who should be sorry, it’s me.’’

her thumb stroked his cheek. “ stop LOOKING away from me , remy. ” clementine said , once more bringing his head towards her. “ don’t … ever do that again. hit something , yell at me , run far away … but don’t ever hurt yourself like that. please. ”

‘’ i-- C A N ‘ T just look.. look at you and tell you this. it’s hard for me.’’ remy whispered, not bothering to look away this time. ‘’ i promise-- i won’t hurt myself. not again.’’ remy whispered, a hand going up to smooth her hair back.

“ what ? ” clementine squeaked , hand on his cheek as she tries to find his eyes. the vampire didn’t believe him at first , but then the tears in his eyes confirmed her suspicion. && her heart sunk. “ why … why would you do that remy ?? you’ve got so much to live for. ”

‘’ i was in a dark place..’’ trailing off, a sigh escapes him as he lowers his head once more to avoid her gaze. ‘’it-- just happened you know ?? ‘’ the bitter laugh escapes him as he finally looks up, biting the inside of his cheek. ‘’so yeah.’’

WHEN he’s pinned down to the ground, a growl slips past his lips and he struggles to get out of her grip. ‘’ letting you be ontop, that’s my mistake. ‘’ his eyes roll and he finally meets her gaze, giving her an innocent smile.

clementine sighed, shaking her head. how could he know ?? she , herself, didn’t. she didn’t want to          remy was part of her past , her memories of being human. he made her feel human once again , not like some bad natured woman. or an abomination. she moved , shifting her weight to the side so her leg could move around his lap to the other side , straddling him. both her hands cradled his face , soft eyes meeting his. “ how could you know that ?? ”

at the feeling of her climbing onto his lap, he tries to avert his eyes-- but now he’s looking right at her. remy’s lips purse into a straight line, leaning into her touch slightly and he shakes his head. ‘’because i know you can’t hurt me. i know you.’’ he whispers, looking up at her with tears in his eyes. ‘’i’ve.. i’ve hurt myself way to much to get hurt by anyone.’’ remy looks away, and he let’s out a sigh. ‘’i did something stupid a while back, that uh-- nearly cost me my life. i should be dead.’’ he laughs, finally looking back up at her. ‘’i overdosed. a friend saved me, and.. i’ve been here ever since.’’

she chuckled , tilting her head teasingly. her hands played with the strand of hairs on his neck , humming joyfully. “ well , you might have to get used to it. i’ve been told i’ve gotten a bit bossy over the last few months. ” she joked , her lips pressed against his rough ones. she pulled back when he nudged , taking in the entirety of his face. all the features she had grown to love , still there. “ i missed you too , remy … so much. but i didn’t want to hurt you. ”

‘’clem..’’ trailing off, the wolf goes to take her hand in his-- bringing her hand up to press a kiss to her palm. ‘’listen, i don’t.. you could N E V E R hurt me.’’ remy trails off, leaning in further to rest his forehead against hers. ‘’you won’t hurt me at all. i can promise that.’’

clementine shook her head , groaning at him as she wiped away his saliva on his pants. remy had always had a way with his words that made her smile , that made her heart SKIP. even now , he warmed her cold , dead heart. “       what did i tell you ?? ” she warned teasingly , pressing her lips against his slowly. “ i told you to shut up. ”

he can’t help but grin against her lips, arms wrapping around her waist slowly. ‘’and i’m not well with taking orders. even from you, m’lady.’’ remy whispered, lips moving slowly against hers as he nudged her back slightly-- looking her up and down. ‘’i really did miss you..’’
