One of the things that I love in Korea is their T-money. T-money is a reloadable card that you can use as a payment for subways, convenience stores, taxi and busses. There are lots of designs to choose from and the expiration is very long (5 years). You can still use it when you chose to travel again in Korea.
Here in the Philippines, we have beep card but you can only use it for MRT or LRT. I think would be great if we could also use it for convenience stores as well as taxi and busses.
Like in the Philippines, they also have the one single pass if you forgot your T-money and dont want to buy another one again but the lane for that is too long. Make sure you dont forget your T-money!
Korea have subway schedules and its very precise. You just have to download some app and it will show you what time the train will come. Its very reliable right? The colors of the subways are confusing but as long as you have enough money on your T-money. you will not be lost. I love the stores on the subway too. I think you can find anything you want there from albums, foods to souvenirs.
I really enjoyed riding the subway to Hongdae, Gangnam (Coex Library), Dongtaemun Design Plaza and many more. it was very accessible, its near to our hotel, fast, reliable and comfortable. Are you excited to ride the subway & use a tmoney too? :)
