I usually do not make posts like this. I'm a huge aircraft nut, thanks to my late Dad who was an aircraft mechanic and former helicopter pilot and flight instructor. When he was alive he would come home from work at LAX and he would take us plane spotting until the Sun set.

One time, he took me to a drive and I saw a flight of these Harriers fly overhead near the Pacific Coast Highway.

These planes served the USMC well. And for gamers this was a close second to a CAS aircraft to the A-10 Thunderbolt II and an helicopter gunship in any Call of Duty game.

These legacy aircraft are slowly seeing their final days approach. They may be aircraft, lifeless machines.

But to me, and to anyone who has a heart and soul, they too, have hearts and souls. And memories. And stories to tell. These are fighter jets, they have memories to tell as well. From their first taste of combat, to the most harrowing of missions, to the last mission. And the final sundown ceremony.
