We woke up at 9: 30am and went to McDonald's for breakfeast, We theb proceeded to go look around and decided we should go to Akiharba, We had some confusion on the train ao we got there at 11:00am, The first thing thay came my mind was "WOW", Simply put it was beautiful. The building, The shops, The enviroment and the people, I was in love! We would go into all the stores acting like the way we should, like excited little kids.
There were claw machines with kawai plushies and the best part was there was claw machines with figurines in them!!!!! We spent a bit of yen but unfortunately no lick was to be hold. We did not realise at the start that there was multiple stories, 1F Prize, 2F Prize, 3F Arcade 4F, Acade, 5F Arcade. So the first 2 floors are usually prize floors, claw machines and what not, Third floor was the Racing floor with all the car games, Forth floor was the beat floor with all your tapping games and the Fifth floor always varies but I mostly found that is was either sports games or more arcade games.
So it was 1: 00pm and we were being tourists taking photos of everything and I mean everything, Then my Sister ( Zana ) gets a flyer from a lady dressed up in a maids uniform, She was a maid from maiddream Cafe, So we had the flyer and continued walking and then the next thing I see is my sister is talking to the lady and then we are walking, then we are in a tiny elevator, then we step out and she explains it is ¥500 entry fee (per a person), which is fine as I wanted to go to one while I'm in Japan. So we sit down she is talking to us and says there is a deal for a meal, drink, souvenir and 3 picture's, So we decided on that. All three of us got the curry chicken. Zana(sister) got a ginger ale, Angelo(brother) and I got the cola, for souvenir's its either a keychain or headband Angelo and I got the keychain and Zana got the Headband. they kept asking us if they wanted to dance for us (¥1200) which we were OK without it as at the time we were pretty shy :) then our bill came out and It was ¥10160, I honestly didn't expect it to be that high but I didn't mind as we had to come here anyway. So our meals came out and there is a kawaiii curry bear in the bowl and was hard to eat because of how cute he was but it was so delicious. It has been a while since I had curry that good! Then I think someone paid the maid to dance/sing as they were selling glow sticks for the maid show!. So she started and it was awkward at the start but I really thought it was cool! They had a saying there that they told when we first come in, it is "Mue Mue Cuteeee". Which broke the shyness... who am I kidding it made us more shy but it was a bunch of fun and we got put at 1:40am.
So we left the cafe and had one more side of Akiharba to do and we were on our way to the station and we had to go the toilet so we went into a building and 3 hours later we got out. It was a big building and it had heaps and heaps of figures, they were so amazing. We had to control ourselfs there so we didn't spend all our money. So we decided to call it a day and head back home.
We got to the Akihaba station and got onto the train with our railway pass and we got off to Toyko station only to realize we are in the middle of Toyko 40m from where we want to be. So we decided to just walk back and it was the best decision ever. We got to see Toyko! Beautiful Skyscrapers, Decorations and just things you wouldn't see on a train or bus. We found out there is a awesome little park just around the corner and we loved the walk home.
We had a magnificent first day.
